Andrade - "Kubernetes" (7:20)

Dragosh - "One Way" (9:16)
Fabrizio Siano - "Control Your Emotions" (8:22)
Review: The fledgling WEorUS label rolls out more stylish, minimal and tech here from a trio of artists. Andrade goes first with 'Kubernetes,' a driving minimal house cut packed with hefty groove. It is followed by 'Content Security Policy' which is a slick, rhythm-forward roller that locks you into its flow. Flip to side-B and get swept into Dragosh's 'One Way,' a deep, hypnotic workout that's all tension and release and rounding off the trip is Fabrizio Siano's 'Control Your Emotions,' a poignant, late-night burner that delivers introspection through rhythm.

Boulderhead - "In The Cloud" (5:16)
Wooka - "Make Yourself Comfortable" (6:20)
DMX Krew - "Half Included" (4:52)
Jorg Kuning - "Imbolc" (4:24)
Review: "Right, OK!" Worm Records offer up their second various artists release for 2024, coming just a neat two months after September's inaugural release featuring Ruf Dug, Wallace, The Mole and Gallegos. Now the label turn their hand to a completely different league of artists, convoking Boulderhead, Wooka, DMX Krew and Jorg Kuning for yet another star-studded audio-strudel, spanning both chilled and heated ends of the spectrum. Boulderhead's A1 is the ludic highlight among the four, a charming Valley Girl voice peppering the vocal track with exceptional backhandedness; we hear talk of floating on clouds and an affect of casual acceptance behind the glitch-science, suggesting vibes of bounciness and breeze. Wooka goes sillier speed garage on 'Make Yourself Comfortable', a challenging charge given the track's otherwise rather jagged jam; Krew and Koenig close things off on a comparatively calm note, the former's B1 opting for a set of bruk-en beats and wet synth yaps, and the latter's 'Imbolc' quiescing with clement Rhodeses and homely drum machines.

Steve Bug & Denney - "That Beat" (feat Mikey V)
Joshwa - "Bass Go Boom" (Collier remix)
Vintage Culture & Vinter - "High"
Hot Since 82 - "Sonedo"
Review: After a blistering first 'Hot Creations Sampler' EP heard an inaugural black-gold palm tree get blown down, with everyone to hear it, now comes a gratifyingly quick follow-up, this time with Steve Bug, Denney, Joshwa, Vintage Culture, Vinter and Hot Since 82 all in tow. No-one misses a kick, with Bug & Denney's opening gambit 'That Beat' locking down a morse bassline against stereo planed beat axis; Hot Since 82 contrasts with the incredibo 'Sonedo', which relays pop dance saxophony a-la Alexandra Stan through a believably ecstatic deep house filter. Second's the best!

Medeski (5:01)
Santa Isabel Dub Company (5:12)
Review: Uruguay has been a rich source of minimal goodness for a number of years now. This label has been one of them since 2022 and despite only being up to a third EP here has already become trusted by those who know. Juan Daireschsion (Harry Styles, is that you?) kicks this one off with a mix of warped bass and more precision-tooled drums on 'Hijo Del Rigor.' 'Billy Bond' is a wonky one for the afters, 'Medeski' has serene widescreen synth spaces underpinned by tinny drums and 'Santa Isabel Dub Company' is more heavy dub tech.

Late Night Beef (7:08)
Ganas De Verte (feat Natalia) (6:31)
Kammgarn (7:14)
Review: Dan Piu is a master of minimal sounds whether leaning more towards house or techno. For this latest one on Birds out of Chile, he opens up with some nice balmy pads and hip-swinging claps under tiny 80s keyboards. It's whimsical and dreamy then 'Late Night Beef' picks up things a little with some more driven drums but plenty of celestial synths and 'Ganas De Verte (feat Natalia)' is another balmy and spaced-out minimal house sound for hi-fidelity systems. 'Kammgarn' shuts down with the most direct sound of the lot and some nice dub undercurrents.

Acid Tounge (4:59)
Review: Two underground artists with many years in the scene behind them in Darwin Chamber and DJ Spun come together for the second in their Episode series on Rong Music. Once again they dig into the sounds of their formative years while also looking to the future as they blend dub, trance and techno into lithe new forms. 'The Revolution' is a mid-tempo and atmospheric roller with hypnotic vocals, while 'The Playa' is a deft bit of electronic minimalism with a deep space feel and ticking 808 sounds. Things get more loose with the warped synths and dusty tech beats of 'Dysfunction' while 'Acid Tounge' closes with trippy designs, a skeletal rhythm and a sense of late-night melodic and afterparty mischief.

Ghoroob (Down The Rhode) (4:46)
Review: The Kolony Gorky label hits release number four just a year after debuting last summer. This one again comes from DDrhode and opens with 'Ghoroob' which is a super nice and icy deep dub roller with smeared pads and heady ambient vibes. The dub slows things down and adds even more bottomless dub depths. 'DD2' (Sohrab dub) is a warm, peaker number but still very much a late-night and backroom jam and the Down The Rhode version of the A1 is a conscious classic with deep meaning and deeper rhythms.

Emergency (5:41)
Don’t Wanna Stop, Dub Stop (5:09)
Review: In case you didn't know, Reliance is yet another label from man like Burnski, the UK powerhouse who is almost single-handedly spearheading a sound that fuses garage, house and tech into something irresistible for the club. He invites Job de Jong to step up for the label's second outing and 'Dub House' is a great opener with just the right amount of bounce, melody and heart. Kepler remixes it into a percussive stomper with siren stabs and dusty perc. 'Emergency' is a trippy melodic workout that bends space and time and 'Don't Wanna Stop, Dub Stop' chucks a killer vocal into the mix over sleazy drums and garage drums that are always going to get big reactions.

Review: Job De Jong's latest release for PIV Records delivers a four-track exploration of deep, groovy house with a touch of underground flair. 'Move' opens with a driving bassline and crisp percussion, setting the tone for what follows. 'Undercurrent' takes a slightly darker turn, with layered synths and a hypnotic rhythm, while 'Wonky' introduces an experimental edge, pushing the boundaries of the deep house sound. Closing with 'Our Sound,' the EP rounds off with a warm, soulful vibe that's both refined and captivating. Throughout, De Jong showcases a masterful understanding of the genre, crafting a release that'll appeal to house heads and underground enthusiasts alike.

Review: Monday Morning is back to roll out some more lush house depths with a second EP, this one featuring founder Manuel De Lorenzi in the company of his pals Giacomo Silvestri, Freddie Wall and Fichs. 'Sun-Rise' is a nice gritty but vibey opener with percussive skip and dry hits. Fichs's solo cut is a loopy workout with nice bulbous synths and a pared-back rhythm that gets ever more inescapable while De Lorenzi then offers up the radiant synth warmth and dubby undercurrents of minimal house shuffler 'You Already Know It.' With Giacomo Silvestri he then closes on the more percussive loops of soft house soother 'The Big Apple Community.'

Review: Deadbeat, the Montreal-based dub techno maestro, returns to Echocord with a trio of immersive and hypnotic tracks. 'Pressure Double Down' showcases Deadbeat's signature sound, a blend of dub-infused techno and minimal aesthetics that has captivated listeners for over two decades. 'Too Much Pressure' is a 15-minute odyssey through intricate percussion, dubbed-out stabs and psychedelic vocals, its subtly unfurling layers and nuanced dynamism creating a captivating sonic experience. 'Double Bubble' follows with a delicate interplay of chord melodies, sub-bass tones and a crunchy analogue rhythm section, its hypnotic groove drawing the listener into a world of sonic exploration. 'Rattle The Roof Down' closes out the EP with a heavy dose of dub reggae bass, its spacey delays and murky swells adding a layer of hypnotic depth.

Gbigga - "Retro Acid" (4:27)
Avenir - "We Are Older Humans" (9:02)
Review: Obliq Records presents its second release, a sonic journey crafted by four talented Italian artists. Desai's 'Low Noise' sets the tone, its hypnotic groove and subtle textures drawing the listener into a world of understated beauty. Leo Benassi's 'Distorted Reflection' adds a touch of psychedelic flair, its swirling melodies and warped soundscapes creating a sense of otherworldly intrigue. Gbigga's 'Retro Acid' injects a dose of old-school rave energy, its pulsating rhythms and squelchy acid lines guaranteed to get bodies moving. Avenir's 'We Are Holder Humans' closes the EP with a contemplative atmosphere, exploring deeper, more introspective soundscapes. Together, these four tracks create a great listening experience that showcases the diverse and vibrant landscape of Italy's electronic music scene.

Review: Stefano Di Carlo' delivers a diverse mix of upbeat, energetic techno tracks perfect for the dancefloor. The first side kicks off with the Andy Perfetti Tribal City remix of Mad DJ, an uptempo burner with a catchy lead hook that immediately hooks the listener, setting the stage for high-energy vibes. The Alex Neri DJ Mad remix takes things in a more trance-like direction, with euphoric, psychedelic elements that create a distinct uplifting feel while maintaining a strong club rhythm. On Side-2, 'The Conversion' brings a vintage, rave-inspired melodic sound, with a nostalgic yet fresh feel. Finally, the original 'Mad DJ' track offers an otherworldly, alien vibe, with early 90s techno influences and a surprising house twist. Di Carlo's ability to blend different styles and eras offers something for both old-school techno lovers and those craving a more modern, experimental edge.

Lemaia's latest introduces rising Italian artist Alex Dima for four fresh tracks of futuristic tech house. There is a cinematic element to the crispy metallic drums and evocative pads of 'Running Against Time' while 'Love Perspective' has pensive pads melting away behind snappy drum work and gloopy bass. The precision-designed drums of 'What About The Future' and the fizzy synths that buzz about the mix make it another fresh sound while 'Mass Destruction' shuts down with a more looming sense of doom. It comes from the shadowy bassline that snakes away beneath more snappy hi-hats and a prying lead synth that takes you into the unknown.

Review: A tech house release that offers the perfect balance of groove and melody. 'Hold Me Tight' opens with a melodic, addictive groove, blending deep house elements with tech house energy. The track's strong production and underlying melodies build an irresistible vibe. The DOP remix of 'Hold Me Tight' on Side-2 takes things in a raw, techy direction, offering a dub version with deeper grooves and a more stripped-back feel while maintaining the vocal elements. 'She's Got Nowhere To Go' closes the release with catchy vocal samples and a soulful, fun melody, making it a great dancefloor anthem. The track is both playful and infectious, ensuring it will keep the energy high. Overall, a dynamic fusion of melodic depth and tech house vibes, perfect for any set.

Dub Chronicles #7 (6:08)
The Rush (feat Robert Owens) (6:45)
Diabla (6:34)
Review: Sating minimal techno flows, Bondage Records preface their latest release with the phrase "next up". It's implied that, by sampling and cycling through many a novel artistic talent, their label becomes an unstoppable assembly line of feline sonics. Frankfurt producer and DJ Sascha Dive is next up, adding to an incredible daisy-wreath of 12"s put out since early 2005. 'I Was Deep In My Past Life' hears Dive dive back into one of his many pre-incarnate bygones via extra-mile sound synthesis and design, the resultant sound of which evokes an undulant, blobby time-tunnel. 'Dub Chronicles No7', meanwhile, has been thoroughly transient-maximised, with a snappy drum buss envelope uppercutting the technic beats like automations of an iron fist.

Ritmo (8:38)
Skat (7:55)
Muevelo (7:32)
Lo Que Pasa (7:52)
Review: DJs Concret and Inigo Vontier unite as a duo, The Diyeis: a crocodilian-simian fusion of primeval sound, uniting mammal and reptile. Their mission is to harness "the primal, tribal effect of ecstasy on the dancefloor" - this is, of course, a target which many producers shoot for, and yet whose tiny red bullseye few are actually able to hit. 'Ritmo' and 'Skat' opt for a different, rather minimal approach to achieve the same "primal" effect, contrasting the usual cliches of hide-taut hand drum and nighttime ghost-dance chants. The Diyeis don't need to abide such tritenesses; their claim is that the tendency towards primordial dancing always already exists in us, without requiring evocation in style. 'Muevelo', in fact, entirely upends anything we'd expect of a "primal, tribal" release, bringing digi-redux hats jacked to high, clipped heaven, and weird FX, which reach a similar, and yet more unconfined head on B2 'Lo Que Pasa'.

Review: Sometimes a tune comes along that you just know is going to come a bit of a cult classic. We have the feeling that will be the case with the opening gambit on this new series, Musik For Pet Lovers, from the Memory Believes Before Knowing Remembers imprint. It is the work of AKeeM Dans Op De Deel who remixes DJ Bistro Schulz's 'Disco Loves You' into a languid, grubby groove that slowly but surely does great things with scattered percussion, radiant synths, minimal rhythms and plenty of mood shifts, not least when the classic vocal sample drops in. On the flip is AKeeM & 4-Takte's 'The Sermon' which is another slow-motion but high-impact sound with spoken words, dub drums and yearning pads.

DJ Deep's Connected EP on Gettraum from France is a refined collection of deep house tracks that beautifully explore emotion. On Side-1, 'Sunday Loop' stands out with its melodic and groovy elements, embodying the classy house sound DJ Deep is known for. 'Cable Guy' follows with a deep, immersive vibe that pulls you in with its rich layers while 'The Third Man' rounds off the side, delivering a strong, resonant track. Side-2 brings a fresh take with Traumer's edit of 'Sunday Loop,' which amplifies the energy with a stomping house beat and lush organ keys, adding a new dimension to the original. The version of 'The Third Man' strips the track down slightly, offering a more focused yet still powerful interpretation. Connected EP is a perfect example at melodic house music that resonates on multiple levels.

Marvin Aloys - "Crazy Things At Night" (5:05)
Review: Second time around for DJ Hell's popular rework of Marvin Alloys' 'Crazy Things At Night', which first dropped digitally late last year. On this vinyl edition, Alloys' original mix - a driving, tech-tinged slab of pleasingly intergalactic deep house goodness - is tucked away at the end of side B. The focus first falls on Hell's 2023 remix, a bounding, raw-sounding and mind-mangling workout that mixes select elements of the original mix with looser drum machine beats, mangled electronics and sounds reminiscent of the German's ground-breaking electroclash productions of the late 90s and early 2000s. We're also treated to a bonus version in the shape of 'Hell's Crazy Things At Night', a rolling and sub-heavy affair that levels up the jacking swing and dials down the more lo-fi, electroclash-inspired elements.

'Eden Responding' kicks it off with singing synth lines over quick beats. What Is House Muzik (Jazzuelle Deeper Acid mix) (7:34)
Review: Way back in 1994, while he was riding high with the stomping, raw and druggy Wild Pitch sound, DJ Pierre released 'What is House Muzik?' as Phuture Scope. This clear vinyl reissue from Get Physical celebrates the track's 30th birthday, accompanying the acid house pioneer's original Wild Pitch mix - a typically stretched-out, Sound Factory-ready concoction with raw loops, weighty beats and bass and fizzing synth stabs - with the original spoken word acapella and two later reworks. The most notable of these is Emmanuele Satie's on-point edit of Ricardo Villalobos's epic 2015 dub, which cuts it down to playable length while retaining the Chilean's wonky and out-there mix of barely audible orchestral samples, crunchy beats, weird noises and spoken word snippets. Throw in Jazzuelle's tidy 'deeper acid' mix and you have an essential reissue.

Review: Mark Grusane presence on Disctechno brings with it a compilation of five unique house tracks from Chicago and Detroit-based producers, as you will probably have guessed from the title. The A-side features DJ Slush's synth-driven 'Memory Blank' and Deon Jamar's bass-heavy 'AYYYO' which offer different but both killer sounds. All of these are the sort of off-kilter sounds you would expect of these revered and enduring electric hotbeds. Raw, stripped-down and authentic, this is the contemporary Midwest underground.

All I Need In Life (6:35)
Das Gud! (6:50)
Help Me Somebody (6:52)
What You Expecting From Me (7:05)
Review: He's the original (and maybe only self-proclaimed?) house gangster and he is back in 2025 and sounding as good as ever. Puerto Rico by way of Chicago's DJ Sneak makes beats as raw as the meat he likes to chuck on his BBQ grill and UK house legend Nail must be a fan cause it's his label he lands on now. This is a solid four-tracker that ticks all the boxes with its killer grooves and smart loops. 'All I Need In Life' is a playful opener, 'Das Gud!' gets more intense and trippy with its bleepy melodic refrains and 'Help Me Somebody' then sinks back into loose and dusty, disco-tinged drums with classic cowbell hits. 'What You Expecting From Me' is a sweaty and gritty warehouse banger to close with aplomb.

Kick Da Flow (7:10)
Bottom Acid (6:08)
Acid Wunders (6:28)
Elements (5:56)
Review: Original Chi-Town bad man DJ Sneak shows up with his latest selection of loop-driven house jams, serving up five floor-focused cuts on the 'Disko Dialogue' EP. A key figure in the second wave of Chicago house, his prolific career has seen him explore acid house, disco cut-ups, and hypnotic, tracky realms. Much, if not all, of that is on display here. The title track features looped strings and echoing vocals over a pounding kick and skippy snares, while 'Kick Da Flow' follows a similar trajectory, albeit with a slightly more restrained mood. 'Bottom Acid' ups the energy with pulsing 303 gliding over piercing drums, while 'Acid Wunders' dives into trippier territory, with its nocturnal groove endlessly undulating. The rolling rhythms of 'Elements' cap a fine EP, with DJ Sneak proving he's lost none of his big-room bravado or production swagger.

Comment On Baise Dans Le Hardcore
Review: French house innovator DJ W!ld has roamed through many different stylistic terrains over the years and now finds himself in stripped-back minimal mode for the excellent Trelik. 'The Night Owls' opens up with tight drum loops and off-grid synth daubs that hypnotise while making you move. 'Drunkin' is a kicking cut with well-designed drums enveloped by sub-bass and topped with swirling and smeared chords. 'Fashionistas' is another perfect bit of stripped-back body music with low slung kicks and little else but they are enough to keep you locked. 'Comment On Baise Dans Le Hardcore' closes out with another mix of physical kicks and heady synths.

Andrey Djackonda & TooRare - "Sunrise In Amsterdam" (7:19)
Etzu Mahkayah - "Partly Sunny" (5:53)
Andry Djackonda & TooRare - "Looking Forward" (7:37)
Review: Oozing with slippery sound design and euphoric exudate, Andrey Djackonda, Etzu Mahkayah, and TooRare team up for a next-gen talent demo in EP form, well and truly showing any other upstart how trancey-prog-minimal house is and should indeed be done. Said to have been designed to create a feeling of uplift and positivity - and yet in our opinion, the record touches on relatively more neutral and trancier moods, ones which could go either way - the likes of 'Que Le Jour Se Leve' and 'Sunrise In Amsterdam' are highly maximised, entelechic tech-trance progressors, highlt reflective of the verve and dedicated so far enshrined in the work of Saint Petersburg label MixCult.

Thrust (5:22)

Review: After taking a hiatus to focus on side projects, DJENA returns with a new solo EP that artfully collides house and breakbeat while showing off his passion for eclecticism. The title track, 'In Motion,' is a hypnotic breakbeat piece with deep pads and tribal vocals that stir up raw emotion. Frenchman DJ W!LD's remix transforms it into a dancefloor anthem with a house-driven groove. On the B-side, 'Thrust' builds deep, tech house rhythms into an intense, peak-time surge and the closing track 'Veer' offers a sublime after-hours vibe with bouncy bass and haunting vocals. Welcome back DJENA.

Review: Ira James continues the fine curation of his excellent Vessel Recordings label here with a pair of legends taking care of a new three-track EP. Doc Martin and Joeski are long-time house royalty and they open up here with 'Join Hands' which is low-slung tech with rolling drums and some majestic piano chords that light up things with real emotion next to a passionate vocal. 'It's Time' pairs things back and allows a nice live-sounding and funky bassline to shine under percussive drums and 'Roots' has more swing to it as organic sound effects and crunchy snares all add detail.

Dome Addition (6:10)
Titanium Reality (5:50)
Forcefield One (6:58)
Chop Chop (6:07)
Review: 'The Dome EP' by Dojo Zone is an exhilarating exploration of sound, featuring four tracks that transport listeners to another realm. On Side-1, 'Dome Addiction' stands out as a peak-time techno anthem, characterised by its addictive, bouncing bassline and atmospheric melodies that seamlessly bridge the dancefloor and introspective listening. The track's retro 90s vibe enhances its infectious energy, making it a sure-fire crowd-pleaser. Following this, 'Titanium Reality' dives into progressive house territory, layered with dark, sci-fi elements that create a mysterious and captivating atmosphere. Flipping to Side-2, 'Forcefield One' captivates with its otherworldly soundscapes, blending tribal rhythms with melodic undertones for a unique listening experience. The cool beat invites movement while maintaining an ethereal quality. Finally, 'Chop Chop' closes the EP with an unsettling, alien vibe that feels both disturbing and intriguing, challenging listeners to embrace the unexpected. Overall, 'The Dome EP' is a dynamic collection that showcases Dojo Zone's talent for creating immersive techno experiences, perfect for dark moments on the dancefloor.

Transparent Sound - "Conicts Of Interest" (5:44)
Finona Rider - "The Impact" (6:49)
Review: High-octane experimental trance via freetek via hardcore from Hamburg collective Phantasia, with an absolutely flooring, walloping debut release. The fact that four different artists might each bring their own mood to the table and yet hear their respective sounds unified bespeaks the brilliant mastering job held down here: Dolomea's 'Augural' and Rupert Marnie's 'Elastic Thoughts' commit to a mutual sonic trustfall, one seeming to writhe about in rhythmically unpredictable fashion through pressure-cooked, rubber-ballistic acids, and the other rootling its 4x4 kick snout into floors down under. The B-side goes electro, culminating on the brilliant brainwash by Finona Rider, 'The Impact', a track haunted by the voice in its own head.

A Bit Of Dis & Dat (12:13)
Sine Wave Runs Deep (feat V Alarik) (13:35)
Review: Locked-In's latest vinyl offering, its eighth release, features a four-track EP from DOTT, showcasing his intricate production skills. Opening with 'Shock FM', the A-side sets the tone immediately. DOTT's sharp, evolving percussion builds tension that steadily releases throughout the track, perfect for energising both dancefloors and personal playlists alike. The attention to detail in the sound design feels meticulously crafted, making it a captivating start to the EP. Next, 'The Helper Returns' shifts the mood, taking listeners on a deeper, atmospheric journey. Its rolling bassline and swirling synths evoke a dreamlike underwater scene, with new layers emerging on repeat listens, creating a textured, immersive soundscape. On the flip side, 'A Bit of Dis & Dat' adopts a more minimalist approach, allowing the essentials to shine. Crisp hi-hats and rumbling bass anchor the track, making it ideal for DJs looking to add depth without sacrificing energy. The subtlety of the arrangement speaks volumes, each element perfectly placed to maintain the flow. Closing the EP is 'Sine Bass Runs Deep', which lives up to its name with undulating rhythms and shimmering highs. The constant sense of motion gives the track an undeniable energy, suited for the early morning hours when the crowd is fully locked in and the night seems endless. DOTT's EP is a masterclass in restraint and progression, making it a standout release for Locked-In.

Review: The unpronounceable Spclnch label drops more unmissable house heat with this new various artists' offering complete with cool artwork. DP-6 gets things underway with the brilliantly raw and undercooked house of 'Martian Sands' which is deep and dubby and packed with atmosphere. Eric Louis follows a similar path but with more light in his slick chords and Upwellings brings some tech edge and more tense, textual pads to his 'Steam Trail.' Anton Kubikov shuts down a heady, stylish backroom EP with the sub-aquatic dub techno goodness of 'Metal Cut'.

Review: Following his acclaimed collaboration with Sw., Dreamlogicc is back on Kimochi, this time having his work remixed by some tasteful producers from across the electric spectrum. K-rAd is first up with a sharp, punchy rework of 'Fleetingly Jazzis' which then also gets reworked by Brendon Moeller & Todd Gys with their Eho Kates project. It's a gritty, stomping house cut and on the flip, Merix (formerly Midnight Circuitry) delivers a deconstructed breaks interpretation, while Shielding crafts a hypnotic re-edit of 'I'll Hausen You'. Shine Grooves wraps up with a slinky dub house remix which is perfect for early evening warm ups or late night wig outs.

Review: Robert Drewek vs Tomie Nevada's 'Time 4 More' EP was originally released on Unleash Records in 2005. Nine years on and Rawax are reissuing it on black wax and the tunes sound as good as ever. 'While He's Away' is a slick blend of garage-infused house drums and warm synth pulses with catchy vocal samples that bring a hint of old school. On the flip is 'Down With the Bass' which flips the script with a stripped back and militant but silky groove, dubby pads and a head's down vibe that really hypnotises.
