Bassywax - "Amona Left Us Overnight" (5:33)
Mathys Lenne - "Error" (5:14)
Review: Welcome to the Slippery Yard, a new label out of Spain which is sure to turn heads with this fine first release - a psychedelic blend of techno from various artists. A Morgan's 'Air' is urgent and cosmic a la Jeff Mills, Dc11's 'It's All An Act' layers up deft synth details with sleek linear rhythms and Judy's 'Bide Luzea' is a hurried, pulsing, late-night mental techno trip. A further deep and heady trio of tunes features on the B-side with Bassywax's sub-aquatic sound world on 'Amona Left Us Overnight' taking the headlines for us.

Naperon (feat D Noyse - alternative mix) (4:46)
Review: Portuguese legend and 30-year scene veteran A Paul is no stranger to Planet Rhythm - in fact he has already dropped an EP on the vital label this year. But now he's back with more on this Shadow Light six tracker. The opener is fast and dubby, stripped back and seductive for body and mind. 'Magnatizm' fizzes with more electricity and alien energy and 'Nocturnal' brings manic, anxiety-inducing loops. There is glitch and pent-up tension in 'Magnolia' while 'Dramatism' and 'Naperon' close out with more streamlined and tunnelling techno depths.

Review: Portuguese producer A Thousand Details is back on Hayes four years after his 'Mirage' EP and shows a smart evolution in his sound. With releases on labels like Knotweed 51, Tar Hallow and EarToGround, he's built a reputation for blending technique with creative vision and his decade of techno expertise is evident in his production here. He uses hardware like the Digitakt, TR-909 and modular systems to cook up emotive, chord-driven motifs that balance harmony with techno's raw energy. The 'Unrestful Mind' EP blends nostalgia and innovation and draws from Detroit's heritage while introducing fresh, glowy textures to melt body and soul.

Beyond The Veil (6:42)

First Of 22 (6:21)
Gone Full Circle (7:14)
Review: Oslo's A:G has been doing his thing successfully for some time, side-stepping expectations of music from his home city by delivering music that's frequently heavier and more mind-mangling. Here the Norwegian delivers the debut release of a new label, Nocturnal Expeditions, beginning with the restless acid lines, deep bass, vintage progressive house motifs and semi-bleeping lead lines of 'Beyond The Veil'. He opts for more stomping beats and LFO-inspired bass on the similarly psychedelic 'Patient Paradox', before reaching for rave piano stabs on the nostalgic excellence of 'First of 22'. Best of all, though, is closing cut 'Gone Full Circle', where ethereal melodiesm spacey pads and squelchy TB-303 tweaks ride a psychedelic house groove.

Come Baby Ride My Vibe (original version) (5:42)
Come Baby Ride My Vibe (Outta Attercliffe remix) (5:36)
Come Baby Ride My Vibe (Underground dub mix) (6:25)
Review: I9M is back with a new old release - what we mean by that is that this tune was actually first recorded back in 2002 by Ability II (aka David Duncan), but you wouldn't know it from listening. They are still future-sounding cuts from the producer who had forgotten about them for many years but who says that lyrically they are even more relevant now than two decades ago. The drums are dubby, the FX are cosmic and the synths bring sleek ambient flow to the energetic low ends. Outta Attercliffe aka the talented Luca Lozano, alongside associate DJ Steve remixes and ups the dub quotient while slowing the groove a touch. Last of all is a tripped-out Underground Dub Mix full of glistening FX and melon-twisting reverb.

Review: Acid For The Grandma's fourth release is another boundless trip into warped rhythms and surreal soundscapes with acid liquid textures that make for a psychedelic experience that sparks the imagination while pulling you into otherworldly dimensions. 'Login Beat' casts you adrift amongst circling snares over jacking beats and 'Biancone Interno' then cuts loose with freewheeling arms and sci-fi motifs that leave long neon trails. 'Strobe Transforms Thinking' taps into more taught dub tech with sinewy leads and last of all, 'Light And Illusion' places you in a colourful world of refracted rhythm and slivery tech house drums sent back from a distant planet.

Review: Acid Sessions Vol. 3 is another white-knuckle journey into the world of acid with five top talents in the field all pushing their own limits. Acidulant opens with "Serpentacid' featuring hypnotic 303 grooves and relentless energy, then Sarufaromeo & Papaverhof deliver 'Acid Nihonshu' which blends atmospheric depth with chaotic acid vibes. Review: Andres Klein is Ackerman, and My Dub is his fresh new platter on Syncrophone. It's a classy fusion of minimal, house and tech with, as the title suggests, dubby undercurrents. 'My House' is first up and comes with some gospel inspired vocal stabs over slamming drums. The title cut is more techno leaning, with tough percussion and chords smeared all over the beats. 'No Vacancy' then brings some grit and menace with its coarse surfaces and prickly hits. Last of all, 'No Vacancy' gets a remix from Swedish techno stylist Skudge who smooths things out into pristine loops that roll with great dynamics.

Every Pleasure, Every Sin (Ivan Iacobucci's remix) (6:02)
Review: Acoustic Vision crafts an exceptional EP bursting with rich techno personality. The opening track, 'Peyote Country Club' grabs attention immediately with its infectious rhythm, sharp percussion, and irresistible flow. A light yet captivating melody hovers over deep, bouncing basslines, building into a perfect storm of dancefloor energy. It's a standout cut that seamlessly blends a cool vibe with driving momentum. 'Human Endeavour' ventures into darker territory, offering a tribal groove layered with eerie, hypnotic elements. The haunting melodies create a sense of being swept into a deep, mystical rave, where the rhythm pulls you in. Subtle house influences sneak in as the track progresses, with distant keys adding a sophisticated touch that leaves an impression on you.
'Every Pleasure, Every Sin' shifts gears, delivering a refreshing blend of ambient house that feels like a breezy summer afternoon. The track is pure elegance that harkens back to the vintage early 90s. The remix of the same track turns things on their head, adding a wicked bassline, playful breakbeat, and a more ominous vibe. The inclusion of an acid line gives it a nostalgic, classic feel, ensuring this version stands out with its playful edge.
Definitely an artist to watch in the future."

Review: This new solo outing from Aussie talent Ad Nauseaum has it all - acid, rave, techno, hardcore and more. 'Omega System' sets a pretty brutal tone to get things underway with filtered synths and blazing acid lines searing about the mix over raw, hard, flat drums. 'Alpha System' is even quicker and brings serrated synth madness to video game motifs and slamming kicks. Last of all is 'Always Acid,' a track that was made back in 2004 but doesn't sound in any way out of date. It's another one to blow the roof off any party.

Review: Adlas steps up to the Hayes label here for the very first time and impresses while doing so. His take on techno is economical and stripped back but never light on impact. 'Deadstock' opens with glitchy textures and creepy, subterranean sonic echoes while a linear beat rolls on. 'Magnetic' is a little more punchy and is powered by a pulsing bassline while 'Open Question' is a dubbed-out cut with beats that skate along and twanging hits reverberate throughout. 'The Rumors Are True' shuts down with another glitchy broken beat and coarse claps with some tripped-out synth work up top.

Review: New week, new Planet Rhythm, same old tech class. Aero is no stranger to this label and hail from Northside Dublin, where they Baldoyle native has been cooking up his take on techno - it's always driven by punchy rhythms but with plenty of synth craft making it much more than mere DJ tool fodder. 'Buried In Noise' has urgent and anxious melodies lighting up the drums while 'Velvet Kiss' is a deeper, more late-night prowler. 'State Of Burn' then bangs with steel-plated loops and 'Scarred' layers up synths that feel like they're going to fall over themselves with a hypnotic and time-keeping drum thud. 'The 242' closes with astral anxiety and a never-ending sense of rush.

Review: Agonis' debut album Neutropia receives a well-earned remix treatment here. Originally released in 2021, the album showcased Agonis' evolution beyond deep, hypnotic techno by incorporating half-paced drum & bass, rolling amen breaks, trip-hop and futuristic techno. Neutropia Remixed broadens this palette further with four distinctive reworks. Both labels are known for pushing boundaries within their close-knit creative circles and this one features Agonis' heavy stepper and Konduku's whirlpool of low frequencies on the Amenthia side, while Lemont continues the low-end, tripped-out vibe. It is clearly going to have just as much impact on this new label God Iz Enough which debuts with an EP of the same name from Tomi Ahmedeus. His style on the opener is to lay down raw and dusty beats with an early Windy City feel and infuse them with evocative, guttural gospel vocals that really bring them to life and make them inescapably emotive. 'The Rise Of The Guttersnipe' strips things back a little and brings a shuffling tech vibe with some glistening melodies while 'Ms Ludus' is a gorgeous ambient closer.

Review: Leeds is a city that has always primarily been known for its house scene, but Nathan Alexander is an ever more vital talent who is delving deep into futuristic techno. After a fine outing on Drum Workouts late last year, he's now back on NIX with a shadowy, body-moving three-tracker. Opener 'Language' sets the tone with sharp stabs and a moody tension that gets the space-trip underway. 'Pulsewidth' raises the energy with heavy low-end and warped textures, glitchy stabs and funny, swinging drums. The title track 'Skin' stretches into tribal rhythms, hypnotic vocal snippets, and deep filter sweeps and taps into that liminal space where reality slips. It still calls on plenty of Motor City signifiers, however, such as warm synth soul, machine grooves and a dusty depth. 'Soul Roots' has all that and a cosmic melodic air, 'Cycles' gets more twisted with a pressurised baseline and drums full of rebound while 'All I Need' sets off on freewheeling, psychedelic pads and serene grooves that carry you away in a reverie before 'Reflections' shuts down with twinning cosmic pads and gurgling low ends. Review:  It's double figures for Bruto Industries, who as the name suggest like to offer up brutalistic techno bangers. These latest six missives come from Alf who opens with lurching beat beats and zippy synth loops that lock you in the moment. 'Servil Comadreja' is another broken beat rocker this time with twitchy synth modulations and acid lines slashing through the mix. There is raw machine rigidity to 'La Tipica Historia' that echoes the vibe of EBM and three further cuts keep exploring a rase of textures and busted rhythms with 'Raquitismo' being particularly heavy.

His latest outing sees him inaugurating his own brand-new label alongside Claudiu Stefan. Rainbow Hill is a platform for their more personal ideas and starts with four more of Andrei's brilliantly deft yet dramatic tracks. Takinti (5:58)
Review: Italian talent Giuseppe steps up to Loft Records with a trip back to the 80s. He fuses everything from Italo house to post-punk, techno and synth pop into these warming grooves and does so with a fine array of hardware tools including the Yamaha DX7, Korg monologue and Behringer Crave, all of which lend their distinctive palettes. 'Flying Minds' is a musical techno opener with singing leads and crunchy beats, and that bright sense of melody also defines 'This Is My Show' and the playful, angular grooves of 'No More Dark Music'. 'Takinti' shuts down with the rawness of a proto-house cut and sugary synths of a classic Italo gem.

Review: Circulo Cerrado introduces its first sub-label, here. E.T.D.G. is "where sound tells a story." Aniano invites you in with Una Serie de Crimenes Sonoros, a concept EP that blurs the line between fiction and reality. Driven by a techno undercurrent, the release continues the exploration of El Terror De Galdar while incorporating electro and minimal influences and drawing inspiration from 1980s sci-fi cinema and retro video games. The EP features TR-909 rhythms and intricate Nord Lead 2 synth work and delves into human darkness through electronic soundscapes.

Review: REPRESS ALERT!: The late Susumu Yokota's deep, linear, heady take on techno as Anima Mundi gets a reissue with remixes to boot. The title track of this eighth outing from Cosmic Soup is 'Hebula' and is the sort of grinding, unrelenting pumper that is subtle but high impact, especially mentally. It is also the perfect track for the remixers to tackle: first is Dax J who ups the ante with rugged percussive patterns then Japanese maestro Wata Igarashi adds two versions. One is an organic and heady affair with sustained pads and jumbled toms, the other is a psychedelic and colourful head melter

Serenity (6:24)
Review: You always know what you're gunna get with Planet Rhythm and that is classically inclined techno that is economical in design but never less than high impact. Antic Soul contributes to that fine legacy with this new EP which opens with the high speed and dubby techno lushness of 'Crd Expression' before 'Borderlands' gets more raved up and injected with some raw textures and wobbly stabs. 'Fallout' is wall-rattling, panel-beating dub techno and 'Serenity' is more icy and nimbler, with bouncy drums and stabs all making you move your body at the whim of the machines.

Review: Dublin's Xistence Records is well known for its authentic Detroit-inspired techno. Bossman Phil Robertson is responsible for that and here brings a collection of tracks under his Arbilla guise infused with classic Motor City influences. He kicks off with 'Parallel Universe' with its galloping groove and chimey chords with occasional French Kiss-style stabs. 'Sleepless Night' is more soulful and raw machine music, 'Lonely Moments' is more percussion and bright in its lush harmonies, and the release includes a standout remix by John Beltran who reimagines 'Lonely Moments' with a beautiful acidic twist.

Review: Behind The Mask's second release comes from Lorenzo Aribone, the man behind the label and someone with a sound that draws on a range of house and techno styles. The A-side kicks off with 'Again', a low slung and sleazy sound with warped basslines. 'Question' is an eerie, spacious sound with pulsing rhythms and dubby low ends then 'Fog' brings more raw percussion and insistent grooves. Last of all is 'Stone,' a heavy, marching house sound with hints of intergalactic synth work and razor sharp drums that keep you upright. Another fine offering from this young imprint.

Review: Arkane steps up to Warg Records for its 12th release and concocts a serious mix of low-end heft and percussive magic. On top of those foundations are a variety of synths that range from driving to distorted and lend each cut its own personality. Importantly, they all work on the floor. 'Warped Dystopia' is a hot stepper that will keep you on your toes, 'Gang' is more dystopian with its insistent synth loops and skittish drum patterns and 'Make Me Want' brings the texture with hamming hits and squealing leads that will freak out the club. 'Touch Me' is a dubby, heads-down sound for introspective moments.

Review: This is the first in a new collaborative series between Derailed Records and Planet Rhythm who have teamed up for a new vinyl series that launches with Rotterdam's ARKVS. 'Sonus' rumbles with low-end threat and fizzy static that locks you in the moment. 'Deviate (feat Ronald Nels)' is more sparse with claps echoing out to an event horizon as supple acid tones linger in the air. 'Amphibian Velocity' layers up gurgling synths and pent-up drum tension and 'Crashing Rhythms' is a punchy but deep closer and a fourth and final evocative and sophisticated offering which gets this series underway in style.

Review: Smiling Phases returns with its second outing and hands it over to Parisian producer Arve, who clearly has a deep understanding of many different genres as the two tunes he serves up go way beyond the predictable. Opener 'Pyroclast' is a fast and physical one that blends radiant house grooves with deep, disruptive rhythms and myriad cosmic synth lines that swirl around the mix. 'Tephra' is another busy workout with pumping drums and an array of different synth textures spraying around the groove. On the B-side, 'Pyroclast' gets a remix by Belgian producer DC Salas, who takes it into retro-future 90s trance-techno territory and Italy's Paolo Mosca, who injects warmth and depth as well as a little cosmic mystery.

Review: Polish label FOMO_ debuts with the first in its news Spectral series, and who better to kick off with than the ever innovative ASC. He is a master of musical tension and abstraction and shows that with four tracks that build up the pressure and never let it go. 'Calm Under Pressure' is soothing up top with its smeared, spectral pads, but there's pent-up tension in the low end that keeps you on edge. 'Dark Arches' soundtracks an underground cavern with haunting pads and icy, watery droplets and 'Maelstrom' gets more direct with jostling broken beats, hissing trails and unsettling deep space mystery. 'Torsion' is the most maximal of the lot - an in-your-face collage of loopy, snappy drums and sordid synth sludge.

Review: Mike Ash burns the dancefloor to a crisp with these firing new UK hardcore assaults. 'Eurotic' is dense and loopy with bright metallic synths looped next to grinding bass until you are at breaking point. 'Eat My Bleep' brings lottery, trance-tinged rave stabs up top over more snappy low ends and 'My Number' then brings some old school piano energy snappy drums. 'Spell Bleep' taps into that 90s Warp sound and has the kind of menacing synth oscillations that bring original rave bang up to date.

Review: The ASHPPE series has been nothing if not unhurried. It started several years ago but always results in essential outings when they do come. The fourth transmission from the techno talent emerges from subterranean shadows with three tracks aimed squarely at the club. 'Judge' is tightly looped and edgy without letting you settle and 'Deeper' then brings muscular broken beat patterns, glitchy textures and raw hits into a futuristic techno soundscape. 'The Box' brings bright and shimmering synth smears to more contorted and twisted drum patterns that demand your more inventive moves.

Review: Asymetric80 is a really versatile producer. He's proven that with several fresh EPs in recent years on a range of different labels and they have explored everything from menacing electro to dark techno via industrial and noise. This new outing on Oraculo somewhat blends all that together into something new and fresh. 'Rara Avis' opens with stomping drums and EBM synths, 'Instant Manifesto' is a metallic techno workout and 'Plenary Indulgence' layers up scuzzy noise and gothic designs into something stark and strobe-lit. 'Innocent Stigmanta' and 'Internal Tears' bring more late night terror.

Review: French modular wizards Atomic Moog step up the Transmigration sub-label Crystal Ceremony here for some otherworldly and psychedelic techno sounds. 'Variable Pulse' kicks off with some low key deep tech sound and rumbling bass that are topped with sci-fi details. 'Brainwave' then has more wispy synth details lashing about over an aquatic dub the no rhythm. 'Model' is slow, purposeful deep techno for heady moments and last of all is the Konduku remix of 'Brainwave' which is minimal, kinetic and full of pent-up funky.

Review: This bumper 12" covers plenty of thrilling techno ground in a variety of different ways. Raffaele Attanasio goes for the jugular from the off with steely, tightly packed drums and synth surges that electrify the groove. Markantonio brings layers of wailing diva emotion to his 90s-sounding drum funk and Mattia Trani offers the unrelenting warehouse density of 'Dogtown'. Elsewhere there are more lithe and funky cuts from ZIPPO and a synth-washed roller from MUTE8. All of these are high-impact sounds for the peak time.

Audio Units opens up with the thrilling drum programming and intense synth textures of 'Transmodality.' Linear System then keeps up the pace with '0724am' which is a sleek, linear, heady techno roller marbled with eerie little cosmic details. Review: OMEN Recordings's next release is a big one that unites Axkan and Duellist on the same slab of wax. They take care of one side each and we're told the inspiration for their sounds was making a "shared response to the turmoil of global conflicts." Duellist kicks off and suggests with his offerings that he is anxious, unsettled and in fight mode because 'Oxidative Stress' is front-foot techno with monstrous bass energy. 'Stains Of Time' is another one with brash drums and perc and plenty of tension, then Axkan offers the hypotonic loops of 'Warfare' and broken beat menace of 'Thermobaric.

Review: We shall never apologise for our love for the work of Steve O'Sullivan. His contributions to the world of dub techno are second to none. They are also mad consistent both in style and quality which means they never age. Here he steps up to Lempuyang with his Blue Channel alias alongside Jonas Schachner aka Another Channel for more silky smooth fusions of authentic dub culture and Maurizo-style techno deepness. Watery synths, hissing hi-hats with long trails and dub musings all colour these dynamic grooves. They're cavernous and immersive and frankly irresistible and the sort of tracks that need to be played loud in a dark space. In that context, you'll never want them to end.

Review: Lunfardo's 'El misterio de Tambores' EP is a conceptual 12" deeply rooted in Uruguayan culture from a quartet of contemporary artists in Charlou (France), Fakk (Argentina), and Uruguayans Cabanelas - Marivo and Arturo. The release explores the hidden history of Carlos Gardel, "El Mago," a pivotal figure in Tango, who pioneered video clips, radio broadcasting in Uruguay, and the first sound films from "el Rio de la Plata." Gardel, known for using 'Lunfardo' in his lyrics, has had his nationality debated for years, but this album clarifies his story while also laying down some fresh deep techno grooves steeped in mysticism.
