Body Move (8:30)
Moonside (5:50)
GR308L (6AM mix) (5:55)
Review: It's five up for the small but already fine NRV label who welcome Me&MyDog for this one. There is a darkness to their brand of tech that is evident from the off with 'Body Move' with its stark drum hits and twist deadline, all topped with some moody vocal mutterings. 'Moonside' brings kinetic rhythms that have carefully designed percussion sprinkled over the top to bring some looseness. A login bassline keeps things firmly rooted to the floor while 'GR308L (6AM mix)' gets more trippy with some acid modulations and wispy synths all fleshing out the minimal grove.

Rump Shaker (6:09)
Ghettoblaster (original 79 version) (6:06)
Review: Mellow Man's latest release brings a masterful blend of past and present across three tracks. Opening with 'In A Flow', the 90s house influence is clear, with smooth basslines and uplifting melodies capturing the era's signature sound. 'Rumpshaker' shifts to a more modern, dancefloor-friendly groove, with tight production and punchy beats. The EP closes with 'Ghettoblaster', a soulful nod to the 70s, featuring Locmelis on tenor sax. Using a mix of vintage and modern gear, Mellow Man crafts a rich, textured sound that celebrates the evolution of house music, making this release a must-listen.

Eternal Freedom (5:15)

Skyline (3:12)
Eternal Freedom (Linkwood remix) (5:58)
Eternal Freedom (Gifted & Blessed remix) (3:40)
Review: Merwyn and Inkswel's latest is a refreshing blend of deep house and leftfield flair. The title track, 'Eternal Freedom', kicks off with a broken beat groove and a powerful vocal delivering a message about liberation, fusing deep house with an inventive rhythmic style. 'Cloud Eaters' follows with a soulful vibe that channels early 80s funk, creating an uplifting and nostalgic energy. 'Skyline' rounds out Side-1 with its own unique twist on house, pushing creative boundaries in style. On Side-2, Linkwood's remix of the title track injects a spacey disco vibe, layering a deep house groove with subtle funk elements that feel both classic and fresh. Gb's remix takes the track in a different direction, dialing back the energy with laid-back, 80s-inspired electro textures, offering a relaxed and introspective vibe. Together, these tracks deliver a dynamic and nuanced listening experience, perfect for fans of eclectic, message-driven house music.

Machines Breathe (Voigtmann remix) (6:14)
Review: Milion's latest EP on HOME//GRXWN is a sharp, energetic showcase of his evolving talent. Blending the raw power of garage with the dynamic edge of electro, this release channels the spirit of underground dance music while pushing it forward. The A-side track, 'Adventure Time', is a standout, layering genre-defying electro beats with euphoric undertones, creating an irresistible blend that's bound to become a regular in DJ sets. 'DALIA' follows and has already cemented its status as a club favourite, with DJs like Dungeon Meat and Enzo Siragusa spinning it to packed dancefloors. It's easy to see why - the track blends garage grooves with a punchy rhythm that keeps the energy high. The B-side shifts gears with 'Machines Breathe', an intricate composition exploring the emotional resonance of mechanical sounds. Voigtmann delivers a remix that amplifies the original's soul, adding his unmistakable groove and funk, to round off a great EP.

Milion - "Tuin Van Bret" (7:31)
Exonym - "Hagring" (4:49)
Dombee - "Brixton" (6:07)
Wodda - "Dark N Stormy" (5:35)
Review: Limo Trax wind down the tinters and shoot us a knowing look through the Wayfarers, as their latest procurement in slick minimal house and techno blares out the limo stereo. This latest addition to their colours series comes in verdant green, and corrals the talents of Milion, Exonym, Dombee and Wodda, all of whom lay down a clacking sonic technic each. 'Tuin Van Bret' exposes the vibe with beeping chords and an injurious party-starting film dialogue sample, as swarthy, silly excitable funk ensues. 'Hagring' marks the A2 with a "gimme dem" sample and moody swells, while 'Brixton' pays homage to the legendary Lambeth area with a speed garage distributary, reminiscent of Serious Danger's earliest movements in the sound. 'Dark N Stormy' perfects this speedy trend, adding expulsive breaks and oozing licks between the four-by-fours.

I Can Feel You All Around (Lightness mix) (6:01)
Review: Techno artist Alton Miller stayed at South African Studio to make of his latest EP 'Last Africa Jams', a swirling technotic dream of crisp, ambient techno with a tribal tinge. Described as a "reconnection to his own essence" by the SUDD label, Miller intends a return to diasporic source through distributary flows of pluming pad and faint hand drumming, best studied on the opening version of the track 'Idiofrequencies'. The counterfactual 'Indigo Version' amplifies this formula whilst also exciting it, as a propelled drum pattern climbs to taller temporal and dynamic heights, letting healing waves of aura-pad thrum underneath.

Review: Milord makes his long-awaited return to Periodica here and in doing so trades his signature electro mysticism for boogie funk, disco dubs and a bit of sun-drenched pop. The club mix to kick off with is a hypnotic, ever-evolving journey through psychedelic grooves with energised chants, sleek vocals and futuristic vocoder accents. The dub version brings some Afro-tribal rhythm and bass from techno with lush pianos adding a cosmic atmosphere. The radio mix blends Kraftwerk-inspired touches with bright, sunlit pop and bubbling basslines to lodge deep in your psyche next to some jangly guitar licks. Perfect genre-blurring escapism, then.

Review: Two years ago, the rebooted Vibraphone Records imprint reissued Minimal Vision's sought-after, self-titled 1992 debut. If anything, the Italian outfit's six-track 1993 follow-up - imaginatively titled 'Minimal Vision II' - is even more highly valued by deep house diggers and record collectors. This remastered reissue is, then, long overdue. It remains a fantastic mini-album, with highlights including the chunky, early progressive house-influenced hypnotism of 'Sea Bird', the acid-flecked futurism of 'Vertigo', the tribal-tinged early morning moodiness of 'C119' and the tough Roman techno of 'Repetition'. Best of all, though, is the deep house-goes-tribal headiness of bleep-sporting closing cut 'Ritual'. Simply essential.

What began as a haven for vinyl lovers and evolved into a cultural force dedicated to high-quality sound. To mark the milestone, Flexi's indie off-shoot Flexi Cuts assembled this limited-edition compilation across several 12". Minimono opens this one with some super smooth deep house on 'Before Morning' and Delphi then switches it up with more twitchy, synth-laced and tense house while DJ Rou's 'Elastic Body' brings acid charm to steely mid-tempo beats. Relative's 'The Piece' shuts down with a darker heart and prying synths.

Review: Ninja Records looks to build on the success of its first outing with a new outing from Miroloja who are brothers and key players in the Parisian underground with great credits already to their name on Berg Audio, Tzinah Records and OLO RECORDS. Their stripped-back but tight sound is laid bare on opener 'Linkblow' with its warm house kicks and wet clicks soon to make you move. 'Morgan' is speedier with some space-tech vibes and a snappier low-end. Closer 'Krazyteora' then explores a creepy late-night urban landscape with some cyclical drums and synths moving things onwards.

Review: Mita Gami and EREZ unite for 'Where's My Voice?', connecting thrilling Tel Aviv, nighttime NYC and lit LA. Their debut on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown Rebels follows earlier releases on Borders of Light, and also introduces EREZ to the fold. Mainstay Gami, a fixture on the Tel Aviv scene, also here returns a lauded remix of Parallelle & Nicolas Masseyeff's recent single 'Renegade'. EREZ too reiterates his productive intricacies, rejoining after standout releases on Get Physical Music and Discotexas. 'Where's My Voice?' blends EREZ's entrances with rhythmic infections, scaffolding organic percs about a vocal formwork. Samer Soltan's remix deepens the mood, lengthening the three-word motif across a brooding extension.

That's what happens here with a new [air of remixes on a hand-stamped 12". 'Off The Wall' is first with all the original events such as the funky bassline and sweet falsetto vocal in place while shuffling, house-leaning drums are layered in for a little extra grooviness. Review: Facundo Mohrr's latest release brings a refreshing depth to deep house, weaving together subtle melodic layers and groovy, entrancing rhythms. The opener gradually builds, with intricate percussion that complements the flowing basslines, creating an immersive atmosphere that invites listeners to get lost in the groove. 'Hermosa' balances emotive, almost ethereal melodies with the solid backbone of house beats, crafting a delicate yet driving energy. It's a track that feels at once familiar and new, tapping into the essence of deep house while pushing it forward with refreshing originality. Perfect for late nights and introspective moments on the dancefloor, this release is a polished example of Mohrr's skill at blending emotion and rhythm.

Review: DAYBREAKERS, a new London label dedicated to deep house in all its forms, opens with a study of Jeffrey Collins' Music Station, an imprint that helped define US dancefloors in the 90s. The EP feels like a time capsule, revealing the label's essential DNA through four carefully selected cuts. Elaine Monk's 'Something For Nothing' appears twice, its Vocal Mix exuding warmth and deep swing, while the D A.p. Dub strips it down to bare essentialsisubmerged chords and hypnotic motion. The flip explores even deeper textures. Cherie Lee's 'Love Me Or Leave Me (Club Dub)' simmers with effortless groove, its vocal ad-libs curling around crisp percussion. Then comes Gerideau's 'Take A Stand (Smack Rain Vibe Mix),' a brooding, red-lit anthem built on thick bass weight and velvety synth lines. Across all four tracks, DAYBREAKERS capture the allure of the classic, the forgotten and the essential, proving that deep houseiat its bestiis timeless.

Review: Originally released on Stickman Records in 1997, this bass-driven house delight delivers glitching synth lines that recall Martin Bonds' Reel By Real project. It comes with a deep and soulful vocal that echoes the legendary Robert Owens and its silky tones perfectly complement the sensual pads. DJ Decent's Acid Mix injects squelchy 303s and a tough breakbeat that completely flips the original and Wamdue's remix takes a hypnotic turn that layers reversed strings and granular FX over a wobbly tech-house groove. A fine reissue that will still do plenty of damage in the club.

The vocal mix kicks off with high-energy big room drums, classic house strings, an infectious bassline, and playful telephone samples while Cratebug's remix transforms it into a hypnotic after-hours cut that emphasises dub echoes while retaining the original's essence. On the B-side, Radio Slave reimagines 'Badman' with a low-slung vibe that blends trippy sounds and vocal traces. Review: Bringing melodies, percussions and textures of the sort which we never thought bringable to techno, Saudi-Irish artist Moving Still wows with his latest EP for Bordello A Parigi. This is an artist whose Pangaean taste spans a wide range, born of both musicality and maturation between nations. The distinctive hum of bedouin traditional music intermixed with notes of Irish reel and abound notably on 'Close To The Shams', where melo-maniacal motifs of each are blurred. 'Bang Of Luban' brings breaksy 4x4s and acids to longing synth reeds that bear a quick glissando, and the titular 'Zaman' of course steals the show with its happy, homegrown metallic percs, against which a cheeky mizmar melody makes do against solar blankets of emotion.

Review: Three outsize rarities on Mr. G's very own Phoenix G imprint (operating since 1999). 'The Lost Tracks 1' hears the man-myth-legend rise from the mounded ashes of a deep house firestorm, where in classic "vaults" fashion, Mr G aka. Colin McBean presents tunes as though they were known sequels. Even so, 'Narcoticz Pt. 2' hardly recalls an original tune by the same name. It's almost as though there's a hidden universe of sound we're only tantalisingly being let in on... With G's driven but distillate deep house sound on fullest display here again, make sure to cop these muted rarities, as they're RSD exclusives and will surely dematerialise quick.

The Finest This Is What You Are (6:08)
Review: Presented simply, with basic artwork that offers a subtle nod to DJ Harvey's iconic Black Cock Edits series of the 1990s, this single-sided blue 12" marks the debut of a mysterious new rework series: Mr Wong's Edits. We're not sure who Mr Wong is - aside from the fact that the artist is not the grime producer of the same name - but he has delivered a strong debut. 'The Finest This Is What You Are' sees him tastefully mess around with a lesser-celebrated, string-drenched S.O.S Band jam - or at the very least, an acapella of it. This is combined with sweeping, string-laden elements from a simmering Barry White disco number and a shuffling, bossa-influenced Latin house beat. It's certainly a unique combination but one that works really well.

The title track, 'Mai Tai', kicks off Side-1 with effortless charm, offering a melodic, laid-back tech house vibe that feels perfect for open-air settings. 'Talei' follows, elevating the mood with its chord-driven, lush textures, embodying the essence of quintessential tech house. On Side-2, 'Just Let You Be' nods to Drexciya's 'Let Me Be Me' with a groovy, minimal approach that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. The EP concludes with Sakro's remix of 'Mai Tai' which transforms the original into an upbeat, dancefloor-ready anthem, adding energy while maintaining its melodic core. That was backed up with their Origins Series in January this year but it is to the Pioneers we return here with four finely crafted minimal and tech house cuts. Mtps's 'Moonrise' is a gritty, punchy opener with a stripped back sense of menace. It's Finky and Ben Murphy who step up for this one and deliver the goods, starting with 'What Is Disco Tech' which does a fine job of answering its own question. 'Danger' then switches up it with some garage flexing in the drums and spacecraft transmissions for vocals. Haha (5:38)
Meld (6:42)
Review: Moxy Edits shares the ninth edition to its fantastically frisky edits series, focusing on jacking UK house edits in a hip-hop and disco style. In bobbing fashion, A1 side 'Haha' reworks Little Simz' 'Gorilla' to huge, over double-time hip house effect, doing rapider justice to Simz' transmissive reworking of an original Beenie Man line. 'Meld' redoes a comparatively untraceable disco breather, providing an emotive 4x4 contrast.

Give (6:08)
Hurt (6:19)
Review: The elusive MYOKEN crew delivers another tantalising 12" of dubbed-out edits with a white label release featuring 'Give' and 'Hurt'. On the A-side, 'Give' is a sultry, downtempo blend of echoing vocal cuts and laid-back beats that stretch out like a haze-filled evening. 'Hurt' on the flip side takes a similarly murky approach, warping pop elements into a mesmerising dub-heavy soundscape. With limited pressing and minimal distribution, this release is already sparking excitement among collectorsian essential pick-up for those after raw, dub-infused edits that push the limits of the pop format.

Like A Dream In The Night (7:01)
Review: First released by Snuff Trax in 2015, but potentially recorded much earlier, 'U Won't C Me' is one of Mystic Bill's most potent cuts - an analogue-rich hybrid Chicago deep house/acid house cut which sounds like Larry Heard jamming with Adonis circa 'No Way Back'. This Nu Groove reissue naturally features the long-serving producer's original mix, the original bonus track 'Like a Dream In The Night' (a moody, low-slung chunk of warehouse-ready, late 80s style Chicago deep house) and two reworks of the title track. Stefan Bratz ups the acid house factor, reaching for driving drums and mind-mangling TB-303 bass, while Jake Savage's 'Acid Re-Rub' is a jacking, sweat-soaked affair smothered in red-raw acid lines, cut-up spoken word snippets and a ghostly melodic motif.

Review: Hello to Metrica Recordings, a new label from Italy that wants to win hearts and minds with its take on minimal and tech house. It begins with an EP featuring Negs on all cuts but with various collaborators. Franz Di Maio is first on the classically inclined deep house of 'A Bright Spot', while 'Echoes Of Thoughts' is a solo cut with more early Chicago synths and dusty drums. Marco Spinetti steps up to help on the more marching and moody '1112' and two remixes of 'A Bright Spot' shut down with a blend of Balearic and Italo style.

Review: Toolroom's house imprint keeps the party pumping with another diverse selection of floor-filling weapons. Grant Nelson & Mark Knight lead the charge with 'Do It Y'all', a track that's been tearing up charts and dancefloors with its raw energy and irresistible rhythm for a while now. But this sampler doesn't simply rest on its laurels; it takes us on a winding path through the multifaceted sounds of house music. The Deepshakerz & Turntables Night Fever follow up with 'Oh Phunk!', a high-energy stomper fueled by a relentless rhythm section and soulful vocal samples that hark back to the golden age of house music. Richard Earnshaw, however, opts for a different approach, reimagining Fonda Rae's classic 'Touch Me' with a touch of soulful depth and emotion. Sebb Junior closes out the sampler with 'Makes Me Feel', a track brimming with bright melodies and feel-good vibes, showcasing the playful side of house music. This sampler is a showcase for the label's dedication to quality house music that offers listeners a diverse range of beats that are both good for the dancefloor and any discerning DJs.

Review: Hotmix deliver another two-track slaying from an aliased ambassador of the label itself, this time the first edition in the new 'Obscure Bad Dreams' series. An homage to Sauro Cosimetti (the Italian house and techno mastermind whose credits include releases on Frequenza, Natura Viva and Beatfreak), six acolytes of the artist bring six, discoic house hosing-downs to the table. Most exciting among the selections are the lively African trad chanter 'The Beginning', the dreamy soulful house 'Inflight' by Rohan Delano, and Montano Orchestra's freestyle-inspired dub-electro-disco 'Tribal Love Beats' version of their own 'Esto Parese Amor'.

This latest blue 12" is the third volume in their Dee Tax series and brings an array of fine artists to the fore. The sounds are house with a traditional bent - Purple Kush's 'It's A Feelin'' is deep but jacking with jazzy motifs, Mellow Man keeps it classy with a garage swing on 'Touch The Sky', Manhattan Project taps into a 90s New York dub house vibe on 'Get It Right' and a second Mellow Man shuts down with seductive smoothness.

Franck Roger & Mr V - "Come Back To Me" (6:16)
Review: The Real Tone Classics series does exactly what it says on the tin, reissuing older label classics from the storied Real Tone Records house music catalogue, based in Paris. A precocious (the label has only been going since 2011) but still refreshing exercise, this second edition focuses on the older, apposed works of label favourites Franck Roger, Don Swing and Mr. V. Brachiating from as recently as 2023 to as far back as 2009, the ability to group together tracks from different eras here speaks to the modularity of house music when done right: Roger's 'Things We Had', for example, is a kwaito-informed ode to freedom, while the fanned, equitant track 'Come Back To Me' jostles jazz-dancier; the stylistic difference between them speaks nothing of their side-by-side fit, which is as seamless as they come.

My Friend Dario - "Tellaro" (Sirs remix) (6:26)
Verdo - "Boulevardier" (Pedro Bertho remix) (6:29)
Review: Two years ago, Italy's Balearic Gabba Soundsystem switched from remixing and re-editing their favourite cuts to curating compilation style EPs of similarly minded fare. They're in that mode again here, presenting a trio of cuts that combine the saucer-eyed warmth and loved-up musicality of Balearic music culture with grooves and rhythms firmly focused on the dancefloor. They begin by showcasing Wallace's sublime remix of Sewell & The Gong's 'Better Worlds', a locked-in, hypnotising fusion of semi-organic deep house grooves, new age melodic motifs and the dreamiest of ambient chords. Over on the flip they dip into slo-mo Italo-disco/acid house fusion via SIRS fine revision of My Friend Dario's 'Tell Aro', before treating us to a Pedro Bertho remix of Verdo's 'Belvourdier' in which sparkling Balearic house piano riffs, undulating acid lines and mid-80s "chorus" synth sounds rise above a fluctuating synthesiser bassline and hustling beats.

My Baby Just Cares For Me (Afro Sunset mix) (6:23)
Review: Nina Simone's rendition of 'My Baby Just Cares for Me' stands as a definitive interpretation of this jazz standard, with her distinct, soulful style infusing the track with fresh charm. Originally recorded in 1957, the song gained new life decades later, reaching the UK top ten in 1987 after it appeared in a perfume commercial. Simone's piano work shines, blending playful syncopation with bluesy phrasing, while her voice adds an intimate, deeply expressive layer. Her version transformed this classic into a timeless, iconic piece, reintroducing her genius to a new generation and solidifying her lasting influence in jazz.

Review: The second Soulful Dubs outing is full of a load more of just that. It's a various artists affair with Tm Shuffle, Monoder & Tapani Rinne hooking up for the opener which comes dubbed out by Tm Shuffle. It is gorgeously evocative and subtle with organic, wooden hits and synths floating up top while steamy sax adds the romance. The original is a minimal and slow-motion dub cut that rides a nice broken beat. Aleksi Myllykoski steps up on flip for 'Slowburn' (feat Tapani Rinne) which is more paced but no less deep. Last of all comes the Tm Shuffle Distant dub for more heady and zoned-out vibes.

The release starts off with a collaboration between Tm Shuffle, Monoder and Tapani Rinne. Tm Shuffle's dub version sets a subtly evocative mood with wooden hits and a steamy sax adding a loved-up feel. Review: Rather significant as old-school house releases go, the chain of influences behind Masters At Work’s ’The Masters At Work (Keep It Comin’ Now)’ is an elusive one. In 1991, Louie Vega and Marc Antony remixed new jack swing titan Keith Sweat’s own ‘Keep It Comin’, a timeless B3 side to round out Sweat’s original Elektra Records release. The track was a snowballer indeed, as it evolved into a standalone B-side in its own right, complementing the garage house classic release ‘Ride On The Rhythm’ on Atlantic Records. Now promoted once again to an A-side, we hear three new and exclusive mixes of thee original dub as well as two variations: Latinesque backing fills and programmable melodics twaddle away in the background of One Take Tito’s mix, while Kenlou and Eddie Mood bring twin yogic, myofibril relaxations to an already contracted sound.
