The J44 models are JICO CUSTOM SHOP brand alternate replacements for the iconic SHURE M44 cartridges. JICO has two products available on the market: the J44A 7 and the J44D. The J44A 7 is designed to be a replacement for the SHURE M447, while the J44D is designed to be a replacement for the SHURE M44G. The JICO J44 models are made to be as close to the actual SHURE M44 cartridges in terms of output performance.

The J44A 7 and the J44D are the same exact cartridge, just as the original SHURE M447 and M44G cartridges. The difference in the sound reproduction is created by the stylus that is used with the cartridge, which produces the distinct sound that is reproduced in conjunction with the J44 cartridges from JICO.

The N-44-7 stylus that is included with the J44A 7 offers a brighter sound, than the N-44G stylus that is included with the J44D, with a thicker bass sound-the same difference as with the SHURE 44 cartridges. JICO has followed the structure of the SHURE products to release the alternative replacement. Not only the sound output is as close to the SHURE M44 cartridge models but the tracking ability of the J44 performs as the same with sticking to a record groove with high jump/skip resistance and low record wear.

The JICO J44A 7 with N44-7 stylus provides a crisp and clear sound in the higher frequencies, with the bass being heavy, bold and pronounced. This gives a lively, vigorous and dynamic sound experience. The J44A 7 produces powerful bass frequencies with a smooth, balanced sound, similar to the specification of the genuine Shure M44-7 cartridge.

The SSL 2 MKII is equipped with two high-performance SSL-design microphone preamps delivering a massive 64 dB gain range, in conjunction with class-leading 116.5 dB dynamic range and -130.5 dBu EIN. The mic pre's can also operate in LINE mode for connecting synths or INSTRUMENT mode for connecting guitars/basses.

Located on the rear of the SSL 2 MKII are balanced Left/Right outputs for connecting your studio monitors. With professional-grade monitor outputs, the SSL 2 MKII delivers a 120 dB dynamic range, allowing you to hear every detail in your productions - from the most subtle riff to the deepest bassline. All outputs are DC-coupled, enabling you to send CV (control voltages) to synthesisers.

The SSL 2 MKII features dual headphone outputs conveniently located on the front panel. These re-engineered outputs (featuring high-current NJM headphone amps) are capable of driving any type of headphones, from small in-ear monitors to large-diaphragm models. Now boasting a jaw-dropping 119.5 dB dynamic range (MK I previously 111 dB), you have all the performance and clarity needed for accurate monitoring in any environment.
