Now the label serves up an album dedicated to his memory from Aver, who created the first draft of it between finding out about Joey's passing and attending his funeral. It features collages of conversations the two had next to previously unreleased material he made during lockdown with Doron Segal. The result is an album of catharsis and musical therapy, that features both light and dark, hope and despair. The finished album features cuts by Jazz T, Evil Ed and Omas, as well as additional voice messages donated by Kuartz and Matt Smith.

Review: Benny the Butcher's Black Soprano Family and DJ Drama come at beat making form very different ends of the spectrum. The former is part of a new generation looking back to the raw, grimy East Coast sound of the mid 90s, while the latest is much more forward facing and a key player in the evolution of a trap sound. Yet here they work in perfect harmony, cooking up tunes packed with hard bars but also lush production such as cinematic synth strings over booming beats. Fantasy crime narratives flow through the record with real gusto and make it all the more involving listen.
