Review: Raw speed garage flavours from Practical Rhythms once more, welcoming another pair of one-off signings for their split 12"s series - Introspekt and 2 Hot 2 Handle. With each artist handling the A and B side respectively, the tracks cut a skittery jib. 'Luv U Right' stabs us in the side with rapidly cut-off electric pianos and rough n' ready vocal science, while a surprise remix from fellow artist ThunderKats washes things out into a welcomingly warm waft of sound. Things get dreamier from there on out, as 2 Hot's 'Take A Breath' opts for a jazzstep approach, with glockenspiel and sax gliding easily across the mix. Nor is the track a challenge for the deep garage remix master HAF, who dubs things out rather impressively.

Review: We continue to be fully enamoured by the garage sounds getting dropped everywhere from the Midlands to Berlin to London. Much of it comes from Time Is Now, frankly, as does this new All Stars collection. It is the fourth in the series and is once more chock full of jams. Soul Mass Transit System & Introspekt keep it deep and seductive, Yemi brings a darker jungle vibe, Daffy's 'Check 1' is steeped in the same sound sources and Groovy D's 'Don'tCareBoutMe' then drops into a slinky 2-step vibe that is full of feels.
