Review: Noreen is a cult name for those who know - a producer who had his own unique take on minimal and dropped some real low-key classics. Nearly two decades after its initial release, his album Our Memories of Winter now gets reissued so you can relive its blend f early 2000s electronica with Norken's unique mix of minimal techno, house and British IDM. Featuring all 12 original tracks, plus the inclusion of 'Df23' and 'Flirt', this is the first complete vinyl version of the album. Lee Norris's sound evokes nostalgia and warmth with atmospheric emotional techno. Influenced by luminaries like John Beltran and Autechre, this one remains a real gem.

Review: Harlem & Irving label partner Brian Kelly assumes his Supplement alias here for a new and limited edition 12" that features two of his tasteful and challenging sounds. Kelly is always out to disrupt and subvert and does so with aplomb here as the a-side title track starts with a whisper but soon grows with layers of found sound, piano, percussion, and ethereal voices. It then collapses before reemerging with melodic and tonal guitars and pulses. On the flip, the same tune comes 'Revisioned' but is much more cold and distorted, edgy and urgent.

Review: Personality Disorder Music is only early in its adventures in the label world but is already turning some heads. The fourth outing from the crew brings together some accomplished underground mainstays for four tracks of twisted tech. There is an edgy vibe to the opener 'Deception' with its throwback breakbeats powering along warped bass, and spoken word snippets adding a sultry twist. 'What Are We Doing' is a stringy and skeletal minimal groove peppered with twangs and hits, sine waves and toms. The B-side melon twisters are just as good with 'Chaos' (feat Mari Kvien Brunvoll) in particular having a nice occult cosmic edge.

Review: Soultape is the solo project of Russian DJ/producer Denis Kondraschenko, who some of you may know from his work as one half of Adjustment Bureau. This is the fourth edition in his eponymous series; it's a remix EP featuring some of the best names in underground minimal house who lend their midas touch to some tracks in the back catalogue. On side A. you've got Bucurie with the mesmerising and haunting perspective of 'Lux Mea Victoria' which is perfect tackle for the oncoming sunrise, followed on the flip by another stalwart of Rominimal, Ciprian Stan, who delivers another arcane and utterly journey with his version of 'Fluriens', and finally Ukraine's Aimed delivers a haunting and immersive remix of 'Process' which keeps the afterparty going well into Monday.

Review: Neoclassic acid-from-garage movements from Peter Reilley aka. Persian, a favourite of the UK dance music scene since as long as anyone can remember. For 20 years, Reilly has gone his own way, operating in and on genre after genre, up-peggable as he is adept, blending breaks, digidub, electro, garage, house, and jungle across a repertoire of no less than 50 EPs. Though this release serves as his farewell, as Reilly formally steps back from music production, it beautifully showcases his skill in programming, with 'Questions 2' proving a sleight hand for twinging post-funk leads, and 'Questions 7' bringing unprecedented sci-fi desolations to an erstwhile jam-funky tune collection.

Review: Fantastically frisky broken beat, jazz and ambient fusions from new Vessel signee Jacob Ohrberg, with the fresh EP 'Vinyl Vanity'. Promoted simply with the tagline "deep tracks, open minds", this one's accompanied by a pensive metatext: "vinyl and physical media represent preservation acts committed in vain... the true, ever-changing form becomes frozen, an unchangeable product which serves our vanity." Evidently not bereft of social consciousness, Ohrberg spotlights the unavoidable vanity of music releasing - the megalomania, the leveraging of identity for personal gain, the sating of an irrational need for recognition - where other artists may never dare to, for fear of coming across cynical. Ohrberg is unafraid of the pratfall of vanity, assuring us there's 'No Respite' with two ten plus minute progressions in dance-soul. No matter our reservations, our idealisations, the music will keep flowing in one way or another, whether on vinyl or another medium (provided the former is proven unsustainable in due time). The digital bonus 'The Naughty Edit' brings delicious vocal chill-light, fidgeting between piano house and soul jazz, toeing the line between them so that you're not quite sure of the track's "liveness" going in.

Review: Gidge's acclaimed album Autumn Bells is now a full decade old and to mark that, the Dutch label Atomnation is releasing a deluxe box set edition with a 60-page photo book by band member Ludvig Stolterman, a poster, the original double album, and a bonus nine-track vinyl featuring alternative edits and demos on transparent vinyl. Gidge is the Swedish duo of Stolterman and Jonatan Nilsson and they are known for ethereal, ambient music deeply influenced by the Nordic forests of their youth. The reissue highlights the duo's emotionally immersive sound and features unreleased tracks like 'Untitled Piano' and reworked versions of fan favourites that blend natural soundscapes with subtle rhythms and haunting melodies.

Review: Darwin Chamber is an alias of Mark Greenfield, an artist who has very much shaped the Bay Area sound across his career. He has done it all from ambient and trip-hop to breakbeats as far back as the 90s. This EP distils all those many years of sound into some sophisticated cuts that go deep. 'Hush' is a quiet downtempo opener, 'Cat Daddy' (Meow mix) brings some funky beats and 'Subway (M Train mix)' has more unsettling texture and languid percussive drums that lock you into a groove then 'Droptone' closes out with nods to a raw 90s rave sound and psyched out synths.

Review: Akka & BeepBeep is a new label from the US that is dropping its first two EPs simultaneously on Valentine's Day. Joradesilver is behind one, and also feature sin collaborative mode on this other 12". It opens with 'King David', a hi-tek house sound with soul drenched pads and tightly programmed drums and bass. 'Mango Strut' slows right down to dubbed out house with clattering percussion and the sound of spacecraft, then 'June Buggy' gets funky with more twitchy cosmic synths and a nice organic house groove. 'Callin' Dybbs' is a deep and smoky closer for the backroom with a sublime sax line drifting throughout.

Review: Colkin from Raw Soul and Mauke Club sets the tone on this new FUTUR compilation, which has been curated by Benedikt Meger with a spherical acid house meditation. Peter Seiler's track, a standout from the reissue of his debut album Flying Frames, features Sheryl Hackett's soulful vocals and merges song structure with jazz improvisation. Eoism from Pulse Drift, Undersound, and Inch By Inch delivers low-swung electro flavours perfect for sunset vibes while the B-side opens with Voertuig of Tonal Oceans and Cobra Club who presents a seriously raw acid jam followed by an experimental, jazzy piece, reminiscent of the 90s downtempo era. 'Eoism' closes things with a floating, futuristic banger, going to make a well rounded (in more ways than one) and ultimately very useful piece of vinyl.

Review: Belgian producer Larson dives deep into the origins of deep house on his debut LP titled Interlace Joy Motion. Taking influence from legends such as Larry Heard, Boo Williams, Chez Damier and Chris Brann, it's a true love letter to house music, and definitely one for the heads. Of the wide selection of moods and grooves, we particularly enjoyed the emotive Windy City-styled deepness of opening cut 'Our Inner Sun' before he throws a nice curveball with two versions of the contemplative electro cut 'Slack Breeze', before the glassy-eyed early '90s Stateside shuffle of 'High Jazz Travel' and the near spiritual moment that is 'Souvenir D'Enfance' with the undeniable influence of Ron Trent. Review: Some 18 months on from the launch of his Better Together Records imprint, Sydneysider Chech is finally ready to deliver another expansive EP. Standing six tracks deep, Gemini Era tends towards the loved-up, saucer-eyed and gently psychedelic, with colourful melodic motifs aplenty and tons of audible references to early progressive house, ambient house and ambient techno. There's plenty to admire, from the spacey, analogue-rich dreaminess of 'XTC' and 'Gemini Era', to the low-tempo ambient techno head-nod of 'Slowride (93 Theme)' and the dusty, piano-rich deep house of 'Interstate (M1 Mix)'. Elsewhere, 'Jia's Dance' sees the Aussie explorer wrap vintage New Jersey garage-house sounds around a punchy breakbeat, while 'Birds of Prey' is a dubby chunk of sunset-ready dancefloor bliss.

Since his debut in 2011, the Valencia-based artist has developed a unique style of electronic futurism with an experimental approach and often fresh creative vision. Review: Interesting new LP from Chris Korda. Upending the expectation that dance music must necessarily be in 4x4 to get its dancefloor-bound listeners excited, the Americam producer has, frankly, thrown that codswallop myth out of the window. Just because people are often musically small-minded doesn't mean they can't be inspired; 'More Than Four' cycles through an impressive slew of tracks experimenting with metric modulation and 'odd' time signatures (yes, we purposefully put quotation marks around the word odd), all while playing with a clean future house sound palette recalling the jazzy chromaticism of Dorian Concept or Time Wharp. An impressive deep house release, deserving of the categorization despite the fact that less exploratory DJs are likely to be scared off by it.

Review: Pont Neuf approaches its quarter of a century of releases with Shore serving up a fresh blend of the old and the new on this Life Is A Blur EP. It kick off in laissez-faire fashion with some heavenly ambient, then 'Constant Motion' is a synth-drenched house kicker with jazzy leads. 'So Low' is more progressive and a little darker, while 'Thinking Out Loud' cuts loose and slows down from some sunset downtempo bliss. 'Ascent' rounds out with kaleidoscopic melodies that have you gazing off to the stars.

Review: Bristol-based Will You (AKA Oleeva label founder Will Spence) is finally ready to make his vinyl bow, with fast-rising Berlin imprint Stolar the lucky label handling the imprint. He begins in predictably confident mood with 'Sante', a deeply swirling, psychedelic and immersive slab of hypno-house wrapped in waves of TB-303 acid insanity, before treating us to the unsettling off-kilter tech-house wonkiness of 'Is It 2 Late?' Over on the reverse side, both cuts are given the remix treatment. Lb Honne re-frames 'Is It 2 Late?' as a smoother and more intergalactic-sounding chunk of deep tech-house, while Orion turns 'Sante' into a field recordings and effects-laden ambient techno shuffler.

Review: Sanderson Dear's Stasis Recordings released the original Time Capsule compilation in 2020 - a 20-track exploration of ten different ambient techno artists exploring two ideas each in compact form for a box set of 7"s. Now the label has revisited some of the project's standout moments and offered a chance to enjoy extended versions gathered on a single 12". From Maps Of Hyperspace shaping out atmospheric halls of synth work on 'Beta' to Glo Phase offering some gorgeous, sparkling grooves on 'Fire Flies', there's plenty of ground covered on this release. Of course the mighty John Beltran is a big drawer too, and his typically stellar 'The Descendent' doesn't disappoint in its full extended version.
