Artium Instruments The Swarm 8-Voice Polyphonic Hybrid Synthesiser & Stereo Effects (B-STOCK)
Cat: 1089172 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order***

Hands-on hardware synth goodness in a boutique desktop format, feauting an eight-voice digital supersaw engine and four-pole filter. Built-in delay, reverb, chorus and freeze effects can be used to process external signals.

Supplier's Notes:
Design philosophy

Knob-For-Knob Functionality:

Artium Instruments are committed to knob-for-knob functionality. Every feature of The Swarm is directly mapped to a knob, button, switch, or jack, ensuring effortless control. There's no need for menu-diving or complicated sequences of button presses to access features; everything is conveniently accessible at your fingertips.

Curated, Onboard Effects:

With over a decade of experience in the effects industry, Artium have carefully curated a selection of effects that seamlessly complement the synth core. Unique to The Swarm is its capability to use the onboard effects with other equipment, allowing you to route external audio through the inputs on the back.

Plug and Play Functionality:

The Swarm utilizes a USB-C MIDI host for simplicity and ease of use. Most modern class-compliant MIDI controllers with USB functionality should plug in and work immediately with zero setup. Additionally, The Swarm provides power to your controller, streamlining your setup process. For older controllers that only have DIN connections, a USB to DIN converter can be used to ensure compatibility. (These converters typically cost $10-20)

Quality Craftsmanship, Intentional Design:

Artium have invested considerable thought into crafting the overall feel of the instrument. From the layout of the knobs to the choice of colours, artwork, and the weight of the enclosure, every detail has been considered. These details matter because the connection a user forms with a piece of gear is almost as crucial in the creative process as the sounds it produces. A lot of love and passion has been poured into every aspect of The Swarm, from its sonic capabilities to its design aesthetics.

Open Source Platform:

Artium desktop synths use an open source platform known as Axoloti or Ksoloti for development and implementation of its products.

Synth core

Oscillator:

The Swarm features a SuperSaw oscillator with 8-note polyphony. This oscillator is composed of seven individual saw waves stacked on top of each other. The magic unfolds when you detune the waveforms by applying a frequency offset, resulting in one of the most massive synth sounds available.

Control Modes:

The Swarm employs this massive sound through two distinct control modes: Polyphonic Mode and Arpeggiator Mode. In Polyphonic Mode, you can play up to eight notes simultaneously, exploring the full range of polyphony. Arpeggiator Mode offers a comprehensive monophonic arpeggiator, automatically sequencing held notes in a variety of patterns, enhancing your creative possibilities.

More Features & Controls:

To shape the sound further The Swarm has a 4 Pole Low Pass Filter with a subtle resonance as well as a simple attack and release envelope.

Onboard effects

All onboard effects can be used with other music equipment. Simply plug an external audio source into the rear input jacks, and The Swarm will seamlessly mix the external audio with its synth core, allowing for simultaneous processing of both signals.

Freeze:

By pressing the touchpad on the right, The Swarm records a 1000ms sample of the current audio. It then layers, and smears the sample, creating an infinite drone frozen in time-a perfect foundation for layering additional notes. The freeze effect facilitates overdubbing, and pressing the touchpad with the freeze knob at its minimum setting erases the memory, allowing the device to capture a fresh sample.

Delay:

The Swarm's delay is a digital delay with a subtle touch of warmth. The delay length synchronizes with the arpeggiator clock, which can be adjusted manually using the clock knob or via the tap tempo touchpad on the left. Additionally, the delay features a multiplier knob, offering a range of unique subdivisions that complement the synced arpeggiator, including quarter notes, dotted eighths, eighths, and triplets.

Reverb:

The reverb effect in The Swarm strives to enhance the natural body and ambience of the synth core without overshadowing it. Its stereo reverb algorithm is controlled by a single knob, which adjusts both the mix and decay simultaneously. This versatile control allows you to seamlessly transition from realistic room or hall effects to expansive cathedral-like soundscapes, offering a wide range of atmospheric possibilities.

Chorus:

The SuperSaw oscillator practically demands to be paired with a chorus effect. The Swarm employs a stereo 4-voice chorus effect alongside a gradually shifting LFO, aiming to craft dimensionality without becoming nauseating.

Controls

Synth core:

Detune - Detunes SuperSaw oscillator
Filter - Cutoff frequency of the filter
Attack - Rising edge of envelope
Release - Falling edge of envelope

Unassuming looks conceal the excellent EaganMatrix sound engine, offering USB-powered synth creativity perfectly matched to Haken's own Warbl Wind Controller but also compatible with MIDI and MPE.

Supplier's Notes:
EaganMatrix Micro

The power of EaganMatrix Sound Technology in Haken's smallest product ever! The EaganMatrix Micro is a full-featured EaganMatrix sound engine in a small self-contained form factor, and is powered and controlled via USB.

The EaganMatrix Micro provides a truly versatile framework for both studio and live performance, with a robust implementation of MPE and MPE+ Midi.

The EaganMatrix Micro is a perfect companion to the amazing Warbl Wind Controller.

The fingering holes on the Warbl are not just switches. You can hear that the pitch starts off a bit as the finger gets close to the hole (like it would on an acoustic wind instrument) and hits the final pitch once the hole is covered. It's a subtle effect but important. The following video shows 15 Presets from the Micro's demo assortment that Edmund Eagan skillfully customized to take advantage of the Warbl's specific sensing technology. In the future there may be demo assortments customized for the sensing technologies of other devices.

Hundreds of System Presets are included with the EaganMatrix Micro. An external cross-platform (Mac and PC) Haken Editor may be connected to modify and customize the supplied EaganMatrix System Presets, or create completely new presets from scratch.

The EaganMatrix Sound Technology, originally created for the highly sensitive Continuum, is now available to you in this compact form factor.

EaganMatrix Micro Connections
1. USB Power and Midi (shown connected).
2. Foot Pedal or Haken Audio CVC communication.
3. Stereo Audio Out.

Haken Audio's EaganMatrix Micro offers:
Polyphony: Nominal 1-3, Maximum 8
Stereo Audio Output: 3.5 mm TRS
EXT Connection: 3.5 mm TRS

Can be used as a pedal input (Yamaha FC3A with HOSA MHE-100.5 is recommended),
or it can be configured for a Control Voltage Converter.

A rapid, single-point measurement option can be done anywhere without a computer. Connect an ARC MEMS microphone (sold separately) to each speaker's mic input, and you'll be up and running in moments.

X-MONITOR integration

Also inherited from IK's flagship iLoud Precisions, iLoud MTM MKII now offers full X-MONITOR integration. This exclusive, award-winning software gives you complete control over every speaker element beyond the rear controls. Also, it allows for precise delay compensation between units for improved stereo imaging.

A single solution to A / B mixes

In addition, X-MONITOR allows you to switch between virtual monitoring voices, emulating the frequency and phase response of other top studio monitors and reference systems. With 4 buttons to quickly recall various voices, X-MONITOR with MTM MKII becomes an entire reference monitoring system in one elegant solution.

With tilting desktop mounts included, it's the ideal desktop solution for home, project or mobile recording. There's also an included isolation pad for horizontal placement wherever needed.

Bottom mic stand mounts securely position iLoud MTM MKII behind a console for studio or FOH use or even on boom arms to create immersive setups anywhere quickly with no tools required. A custom mounting bracket is also available to easily install MTM MKII as overheads or wall speakers in any studio.

PreSonus Eris-series studio monitors are used worldwide by audio engineers and producers who need to hear every detail of their recordings. Our best-selling studio monitors just got better! Eris 3.5 media reference monitors deliver studio-quality sound in an elegant, compact form factor that makes them ideally suited for bedroom studios, video production, and high-fidelity gaming setups.

With 25 watts per side of onboard power, the Eris 3.5 reference monitors pack a serious punch, while still delivering clear, accurate audio. The weave and nature of the Eris 3.5's 3.5-inch woofer result in tight bass that you can feel, as well as cleaner overall sound. The one-inch silk-dome tweeter produces refined high-frequencies and is designed to radiate sound with a wide pattern, creating a large optimal listening area. Improved speaker voicing over previous designs delivers richer lows and a smoother crossover transition for articulate, accurate transient reproduction throughout the frequency range and a less-fatiguing listening experience.

A convenient front-panel knob sets the level of both the power amp and the loud, clear headphone amplifier, with its front-panel jack. With three types of inputs, it's easy to connect just about any audio source to Eris 3.5 reference monitors. High- and low-frequency controls let you easily adjust the Eris speaker's frequency response to compensate for the acoustics of your space and create the most accurate sonic reproduction possible.

Need a little more low end? Add an Eris Sub8 BT to build a perfectly matched 2.1 sound system that fits almost anywhere.

Versatile connectivity.

PreSonusr Erisr 3.5 reference monitors connect to virtually any line-level audio source, using rear-panel, 14-inch TRS and RCA inputs and a front-panel, 1/8-inch, stereo line input. You also get a convenient (and loud!) front-panel, 1/8-inch, stereo headphone jack; connecting headphones mutes the speakers.

Built to match your room.

After Later Audio Bartender v2 Stereo Production Mixer Module
Cat: 1087273 Rel: 06 May 25

4 channel mixer module that with two stereo aux sends and returns.
Notes: Bartender is the centerpiece of the mixer system. Four stereo channels, with two stereo aux send and two stereo returns. Each channel can be used in a mono mode where both channels are mixed. If you want to do eight channels of mono, you can put the channels in stereo mode (I know it feels backwards) and then use the pan control to control the crossfade between each channel, and then take the mono output. There is a built in cueing system so you can monitor channels in your headphones and control the blend with the main output. You can expand a Bartender with both a Barback and/or another Bartender. When connecting two Bartenders, the main level control on the 'expander' Bartender acts as a group control.

Doepfer A-192-2 Dual CV & Gate To MIDI & USB Interface Module (B-STOCK)
Cat: 1089637 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Slight surface marks
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Slight surface marks ***

Module A-192-2 contains two independent CV/Gate-to-Midi/USB interfaces. For each of the two sub-units these inputs are available:

- Gate Input (min. +5V)
- CVN Input (defines the Midi note number), 1V/octave standard, range 0...+10V (i.e. 10 octaves)
- CVV Input (defines the velocity value assigned to the Midi note message), can be used alternatively for Midi volume (CC#7), range 0...+5V
- CVC Input (free assignable to any Midi control change number), range 0...+5V

For both sub-units a common CV Transpose input is available (1V/octave, range 0...+10V). The voltage applied to this input is added internally to CVN before the Midi note number is generated. It can be used e.g. to transpose two sequences simultaneously by one voltage.

How it works:

Whenever the rising edge of the Gate input is recognized a Midi note on message is generated. The note number corresponds to the sum of the voltages applied to the CVN input and the common CV Transpose Input that is present at the rising edge of the gate signal.

Inputs
Stereo In: 2x standard jack

MIDI In: standard MIDI socket

CV In: standard jack

Outputs

Stereo Out: 2 x standard jack

Delay times: 1-5000ms with 1/8...x8 of clock/tap rate in beat mode

Inspired by a trip to Berlin's trailblazing music hardware trade show Superbooth, Coldcut's Matt Black and longtime friend Dr Walker (Liquid Sky artist collective / Air Liquide) envisaged the exciting possibilities of a custom hardware effects unit. The result is the creation of the Zen Delay i the first-ever hardware effects unit produced in collaboration with an electronic music label.

Bringing together the best of the digital and analogue worlds, the Zen Delay is a BPM-synced stereo delay line, combining extreme feedback ranges for dub and experimental lo-fi effects with a multi-mode 24 dB synth filter and valve overdrive.

Created and manufactured by Erica Synths, the unit is housed in a metal case with Erica Synths' signature bakelite knobs and a valve circuit for extra analogue warmth. While sonically versatile, it is incredibly easy to use each function has a physical knob that you can play around with without diving into manuals or scrolling through menus on a tiny screen.

Crafted in close collaboration with DJs and producers, the Zen Delay was uniquely developed with both live and studio use in mind and is suitable for many different performance situations, musical styles and instruments. While most delay devices are designed as 'stomp boxes' for guitarists, the device is equally powerful in the hands of electronic music producers, artists and DJs, adding a unique, warm and powerful sonic character to drum machines, loops, vocals, synths, samples or any other source. Even full tracks or a live stereo mix can be enhanced by the combination of analogue and digital circuitry, breathing new life into iPad performances and giving traditional digital synths and drum machines a huge kick.

The Zen Delay is a product of our expertise on vacuum tube designs, our powerful, custom DSP platform and the great sound of our filter ICs made and developed in Latvia. It by far exceeded expectations in terms of how it sounds and feels when played. - Girts Ozolin

The Zen Delay is the analogue delay unit I've been waiting for. Stereo warmth, tone and texture. Perfect for live abusage, and studio madness love it - The Bug

The Zen excels at the sort of extreme dub possibilities Coldcut love. Feed it back! - Matt Black

For years I have dreamed of a state-of-the-art stereo valve dub delay for my MPC that perfectly masters all sound aesthetics from "badass" to "psychedelic hypnotically trashed" and now, have a look! There it is... the Zen Delay! - Dr Walker

Make Noise Jumbler 6x6 Channel Analogue Signal Combiner & Distributor Module
Cat: 1084227 Rel: 28 Apr 25

Signal combiner/distributor module ideal for hybrid control voltage mashing, complex waveform mixing, on-the-fly effects re-routing, gate and clock re-combinations and more
Notes: Designed for Make Noise's New Universal Synthesizer System but compatible with all Eurorack modules, the Jumbled is a 6-in/6-out VCA-based signal router, designed to manipulate and reimagine control voltage signals.

Supplier's Notes:
The Jumbler music synthesiser module is a six by six channel analogue signal combiner and distributor for the New Universal Synthesizer System or any Eurorack modular synthesiser. Jumble is one of the N.U.S.S. concepts where the routings of a patch could be re-configured, or jumbled, instantly via voltage control to produce variations on a theme.

Jumbler gives you powerful two-parameter access to the rearrangement of both origins and destinations for up to six modular signals. One to six inputs are routed to one to six outputs, in an order determined by the Rotate control, and combination determined by the Radiate control. Unlike a simple switch module, Jumbler's analogue VCA-based design is specially geared for smooth transitions and hybrid signals.

Jumbler is a great module for hybrid control voltage mashing, complex waveform mixing, on-the-fly effects re-routing, gate and clock re-combinations and more. Some folks have said it is like patching a stack of 6 RxMx circuits.

Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order***

Valve-based pre-amps meet cabinet simulation in this ultra-flexible pedal. Dial in your tone, patch in effects, and control the lot via MIDI or USB. A brilliant combination of analogue and digital.

Supplier's Notes:
Tsakalis is proud to release their most ambitious product to date. Seamlessly blending the authentic analogue warmth of real tubes with a highly configurable cabinet simulator, plus flexible outputs and control options, the MOTHERSHIP - Real Tube Preamp stands out as possibly the most highly featured and flexible front end for any guitar rig currently available.

The MOTHERSHIP is a complete solution for authentic vintage and modern genuine tube amp tones, in a user-friendly and lightweight, yet rugged package that is designed to slot in easily into any setup.

Both channels on the MOTHERSHIP are identical, yet highly configurable.

Featuring three gain modes (High, Medium and Low) on each channel, along with a toggle switch for selecting between your three chosen speaker simulations, the MOTHERSHIP can conjure up a multitude of both iconic, familiar and unique tones easily and intuitively. Each channel also features two master gain controls along with two master volumes, allowing four different voices to be instantly recalled, either by pressing the relevant footswitch or via MIDI command.

Demonstrating its prowess as a fully comprehensive plug and play device, the MOTHERSHIP also features over 70 free custom cabinet simulations to choose from (when connected to Tsakalis' own TAW Editor app via USB), separate dedicated simultaneous outputs for both the cabinet simulator and a "dry" output for your amp of choice, MIDI control of channel, A/B selection and bypass and also a serial mono FX loop for added tonal versatility.

Fully-featured all-analogue real tube preamp design

The MOTHERSHIP represents the perfect "amp-in-a-box" pedal, seamlessly blending a beautifully designed, real tube front end with a highly flexible cabinet modelling solution. However, it also shines as a genuine tube overdrive pedal when connected to the front of your amplifier, or when running it as the tone defining preamp section of your setup, directly into your power amp. It can also do both of these things simultaneously.

Quad channel tube preamp and drive

This preamp pedal has two completely independent channels, each featuring a four-band EQ, two different Gain/Volume sections, three selectable gain-stages and three selectable cabinet simulations, plus a serial mono effects-loop for your external effects, MIDI in and free access to Tsakalis Audioworks' full free online library of carefully selected and curated digital cabinet simulations.

The MOTHERSHIP's two independent channels were carefully designed with a real tube audio path, providing a huge range of tones from warm or sparkling cleans all the way to high gain tube driven distortion. The two ECC83 (12AX7) tubes, run at a comfortable 240 Volts, providing touch sensitivity, headroom and plenty of gain and tube sag as required.

Each channel features a four band EQ (Bass, Mid, Treble and Presence) and two different Gain and Volume controls (Gain A-Volume A / Gain B-Volume B) transforming the MOTHERSHIP into a quad channel powerhouse.

The dedicated MODE switch for each channel is responsible for the tube audio path structure, giving 3 different gain modes L = Low, M = Mid and H = High, allowing you to easily customize completely different lead and rhythm tones with different gain structures as well as a solo volume boost for each and access them on-the-fly by simply pressing the relevant footswitch.
