Review: "Acoustic Sessions" is a new Thin Lizzy album featuring stripped-back versions of Thin Lizzy classics and with previously unheard vocals provided by old recordings of late Phil Lynott. Not all material on the album is sourced from archived Thin Lizzy recordings though. Founding member Eric Bell has prepared fresh acoustic guitar arrangements for the new album, marking the first time since 1973 that Bell has played on a Thin Lizzy album.

Notes: 'Born To Boogie' is the Ringo Starr-directed 1972 film that captures Marc Bolan and T. Rex at the height of their popularity, as 'T. Rextasy' swept the nation.

Centred around the band's famous Wembley Empire Pool concerts, the film incudes a legendary jam session with T. Rex joined by Ringo Starr and Elton John, and a Mad Hatter's tea party with Catweazle.

Alongside the complete matinee concert, extra features and Apple Studio outtakes, 'Born To Boogie' is the ultimate film of Marc Bolan and superstardom in the early 1970s.

This edition features a newly-designed O-card.

Notes: 2023 sees the 50th anniversary of what is widely regarded as Thin Lizzy's breakthrough album 'Vagabonds Of The Western World' featuring their first UK top ten single 'Whiskey In The Jar' and 'The Rocker' which would go on to be one of the band's signature tunes, so much so that it was the last song they ever performed at their final show in 1983. To celebrate the album's golden anniversary, the Blu ray formats feature Atmos mixes for the first time.

Notes: The first instalment of David Gedge's 'memoir-in-comic-book-form' will be released in paperback for the first time by Scopitones books. The stories featured in this stunning 176-page, matt-laminated, graphic novel have previously only been available to readers of the tales from the Wedding Present comic book series. This collected edition comes with forty pages of never-before-seen additional material and an introduction by Ian Rankin. David has written this autobiography together with long-time musical associate Terry de Castro, and the stories are illustrated by virtuoso artist Lee Thacker. It's in chronological order, beginning with David's childhood in England and South Africa and continues up to the inception of the Wedding Present. On the way we learn about some of the romantic experiences that may have informed his writing, how he first met the legendary BBC presenter John Peel, and the true story behind the classic Wedding Present song 'My Favourite Dress'.
