Review: Fronted by Dane-dame Sannie Carlson, Whigfield was backed by various producers and engineers over the years, main among whom was the towering Larry Pignagnoli. *The* song to commemorate Whigfield by, 'Saturday Night' is a Europop and Eurodance trailblazer, harking back, perhaps, to a more glamorous time, where fashion designers rubbed shoulders with models, PR girls and riviera DJs for Italian and Danish upper crusts. Carlson would record 'Saturday Night' after meeting fellow DJ Davide Riva, who was also part of a music production duo. In three days, an (in your mind-) sticky, bubblegum-popping opus would be written, with a nursery-rhyming refrain and a jaunty na-na-na hook epitomising the notion of a "hair-dryer song", a term coined by Simon Cowell in reference to the song as a precursor to Rebecca Black's 'Friday': "the kind of song girls sing into their hair dryers before getting ready to go out."

Review: 'EZ Do Dance' by Japanese band TRF was released on June 21, 1993 as their second single and it proved to be a breakout hit that also helped to make dance music more popular in Japan. The group blended Yellow Magic Orchestra's techno-pop style with rock music and was later inspired by a visit to the UK when he experienced the second summer of love in 1998. Here we get the original 7" mix as well as a more piano-laced and vocal flipside joint 'Track 2'.

Founded in 1996 by DJ duo Danski and Delmundo, Vengaboys first found success in the Netherlands with singles 'Parada de Tettas' and 'To Brazil!' Their breakthrough single 'Up & Down' propelled them to global fame, especially in the U.S. The follow-up hit 'We Like To Party! (The Vengabus)' solidified their international success, earning gold status for their debut album Greatest Hits! and a nomination for Best Breakthrough of the Year at the 1999 MTV Music & Video Awards. After disbanding in 2001, Vengaboys returned in 2007 with 'Rocket to Uranus,' featuring Perez Hilton, and later released the Xmas Party Album in 2014.
