The STAY Slim 2 tier keyboard stand is a lightweight (just 2.9kg) aluminium keyboard stand ideal for practice, studio and performance use. Notes: On September 18, 2016, Keith Robinson, a pioneering figure in the free party scene, tragically lost his life in the River Thames. To say Keith lived an eventful life would be an understatement. In 2011 he started writing his autobiography and involvement with the Desert Storm Sound System but never completed it. It's taken this long - and lots of hurdles to overcome - to bring Keith's story to the world.

Take No Prisoners: The Desert Storm Sound System Story covers his childhood and first forays into parties (and brushes with the law) in Glasgow, the infamous trips to Bosnia during the Balkans conflict, the anti-Criminal Justice Bill and Reclaim The Streets demos in Trafalgar Square, joining the army and serving in Afghanistan. The book also contains many photos from Keith's life, a foreword by Matthew Collin (author of Dream Machines, Rave On and Altered State) and an epilogue written by Ray Philp (Red Bull Music Academy).

Keith Robinson, known affectionately to his friends as 'Keef', was the founder and driving force behind Desert Storm Sound System from its early days putting on the first free parties in Glasgow and the West of Scotland through to his place at the forefront of the fight against 1994's Criminal Justice Act and the Reclaim the Streets Campaign, and on to his amazing journey to Bosnia in 1995.

Over the 25 years of his involvement in the free party and techno scenes, Keef inspired and influenced so many people across Europe. His organisational skills were almost as legendary as his capacity for decadent levels of partying, but he was also very much an innovator and someone determined to bring a sense of social conscience to what was often a purely hedonistic scene.

At the time of his death, Keith was in the process of having his life and experiences turned into a book from his often manic notes. It's taken nearly nine years but it's worth the wait. His story needs to be recorded for posterity, to remember the many moments of joy and happiness he brought to friends and acquaintances, and to stand as an inspiration to a new generation.

Notes: With the introduction of the Manis Overdrive, Keeley pens the next chapter in the legend of the mythical Klone. The essential germanium diodes at the heart of the myth faithfully deliver the iconic tones that are as expected, but that's far from where this story ends. With additional options for switching between both clipping and bass boost modes, Manis is sure to conjure up a suitable saturation for any situation.

Keeley recognises that not every guitarist relates to the sound of the original horse related pedal, so while the Manis totally nails the sound of the fabled original, it also delivers a worthwhile evolution of this renowned circuit. By using GE Transistors as opposed to the fabled GE diodes, the result is representative of the same well-known flavour, but due to the different cutoff voltage there is increased saturation, compression and sustain.

The additional "tube like" second order harmonics and extra gain on tap are like a miracle cure for anyone with the "Klone blues".

Toggle the clipping switch to swap in cold-war era GE transistors for more sustain, saturation, and tube-like response that you can really feel under your fingertips. Or leave the pedal in Diode mode for that authentic Klone experience. Control the character and punch of your sound by dialing down the upper-mid honk with the Tone knob.

Jamie eagerly joined the session, using the Dirt Transmitter on many tracks to great response from the crew.

Following the session, plans emerged to reissue the Dirt Transmitter in conjunction with the album. Dave suggested Ohio-based artist Mike Egan for special Rancho-themed artwork- an ideal match, as Mike lives near EQD's headquarters. The collaboration came together naturally.

The Dirt Transmitter, one of EQD's earliest circuits, debuted in 2008. Fuzz Face-inspired and built around rare low-gain silicon transistors, it blends germanium warmth with silicon's gritty top-end. Originally released with Fuzz, Tone and Level controls, it alter added am externa. Bias control to starve voltage and create a gated, sputtery velctro fuzz. Discontinued in 2017, it returns now for a special release.

Elevating the groundbreaking optical compression of the original Philosopher's Tone to a new plane of tonal enlightenment, the Philosopher's Tone 2 is a world-class compressor/sustainer with footswitchable Grit, allowing for more versatility than ever before. Featuring a refined implementation of the overdrive circuit first heard in the limited-edition Gold version of this iconic compressor pedal, the unique germanium distortion found in the Philosopher's Tone 2 delivers smooth top end and rich midrange response, tailored to perfectly match the characteristics of the optical sustainer driving it. In addition to Volume and Sustain controls, the Philosopher's Tone 2 features a parallel clean Blend knob that allows musicians to mix their instrument's original tone with the compressor/sustainer effect when the Grit circuit is bypassed. This mixing technique restores natural pick-attack and allows clean settings with extreme sustain to remain dynamic and musical. When the Grit circuit is engaged, the Blend knob is automatically bypassed, circumventing the compromises of the original unit and imparting a colourful distortion to your sound in both Germanium and Silicon modes. This nonlinear diode-clipping can range from subtle overdrive to overflowing distortion, all without unwanted feedback. A Treble control located just before the master Volume provides 6db of cut or boost at 2kHz for fine-tuning the frequency response of the effect. The Philosopher's Tone 2 features true-bypass switching and internal 18V power rails for maximum clean headroom that is ideal for use with hot pickups, active bass, synthesisers and other line-level sources. Immersive Ambient Generator

4 layers of tone and texture-Drone, Pad, Atmos, and Noise-merge to generate deep resonance and continuous transformation.

Ambient O (zero) is incredibly easy to use. Start by playing a tone from one layer using the note hold function. While listening closely, simply tweak the knobs to modify the tone and add other layers to shape a pleasing sound.

Blendwave Modulation Synthesis

Sonicware conducted extensive research into creating undulating and fluctuating tones for Ambient O, resulting in the development of a new wavetable-based synthesis.

Blendwave Modulation Synthesis combines 6 unique structures with 32 WAVEs featuring complex harmonic transitions, making it easy to create powerful low drones, lush pads, and transparent pizzicatos, perfect for Ambient Music.

4 knobs/8 parameters offer a wide range of tone creation.

A WAVE contains 128 harmonic tables, allowing for diverse tonal changes such as moving from basic waveforms to complex harmonics. The WAVE is represented by a yin-yang icon, with the yin representing moves in the reverse direction through the tables during modulation.

6 Structures - Each structure has a different number of oscillators and modulation circuits. ATMOS 1 applies ring modulation, while ATMOS 2 applies FM modulation.

Noise and Space

The Noise layer includes 8 specially selected nature sounds, offering noise blending, pitch adjustment and modulation to infuse unique spatial characteristics.

Additionally, it allows for up to 8 seconds of stereo sampling from the line input, letting you create personalized textures.

Extensive Effects Section

Ambient O is equipped with 9 types of lush reverb, each offering unique spatial dimensions and brightness settings. You can individually adjust the reverb send and shimmer send (for layering octaves) for each layer.

In addition to the reverb, the Ambient O offers an effect unit with Tape Delay, Reverse Delay, and 4 master effects; Overdrive, Bit/Rate Crush, Tilt EQ, and Stereo Chorus.

Each waveform for each oscillator has its own independent instrument, as does each envelope and the inverse of envelope 1, each filter and slope, each LFO waveform, noise and low noise, and mix. There's also a dedicated headphone output so you can enjoy ISE-NIN without waking the neighbours. Mixing with up to four decks

Despite its small size, the Mixtour Pro is capable of supporting four-deck mixing with its powerful and intuitive controls. Professional design and FX control

The Mixtour Pro's two channel strips with their trusted design are fitted with all the important controls for a modern DJ setup. Each channel features an electroplated bi-polar sound filter (LPF/HPF) with a dedicated LED indicator, in addition to gain and three-band EQ. The convenient FX paddles allow the user to trigger effects in bursts via FX Hold mode or to apply them indefinitely via FX On mode. A large, electroplated dry/wet knob controls the intensity of the effect, while the two dedicated parameter buttons offer complete control over the effect parameters. The lower performance area is fitted with 45mm Ultra Glide crossfader and line faders, for the smoothest operation in the mix.

The 'Pip LFO' is a compact 4HP all analogue low frequency oscillator with a wide frequency range, voltage control, numerous outputs, reset input and a VCO mode.

LFO speed is set via a manual control and voltage control input. There is a unipolar square wave output along with both bipolar and uni-polar triangle, saw and sine waveform outputs.

When VCO mode is activated, the frequency jumps to audio range and will track V/Oct for approx 5 octaves. A reset input allows the LFO waveform cycle to be reset and produces hard sync functionality in VCO mode.

Coreless Direct Drive Motor Achieving Stable Rotation

The direct drive system uses a slow-turning motor to directly drive the platter. This system has various advantages. It offers high performance, such as rotation accuracy and powerful torque, does not require replacement of parts and maintains high reliability over a long period of time. On the other hand, the direct drive system was said to produce a rotation irregularity called cogging. For the SL-1210MK7, a new coreless direct drive motor was developed. This motor employs a coreless stator. The removal of the core (iron core) from the stator eliminated the root cause of cogging. Furthermore, the magnetic force of the rotor magnets was improved to the highest possible level, and the gap between the coreless stator and rotor magnets was optimised, thus achieving high-torque-performance equalling that of the SL-1210MK5. Boasting smooth rotation and powerful torque, this motor reproduces sound accurately and faithfully from the groove on an analogue record.

Diverse New Functions Adapt to Various Playing Styles

Torque / Brake Speed Adjustment

The newest digital motor control technology, accumulated through the development of Blu-ray disc products, is applied to improve adjustment by allowing the torque and brake speed to be adjusted individually in four steps.

The Pitch Control Function

The pitch control function allows fine adjustment of the rotation speed within i8% / i16%. It does this through digital control, from positional detection of the slider to rotational control of the motor, eliminating the unnecessary DA conversion. This greatly improves tracking performance to achieve accurate and stable pitch adjustment.

Reverse Play Function

The reverse play function, which brings forth new possibilities of creative performance, makes its first appearance in the SL-1210 Series. In addition to 33-1/3 rpm and 45 rpm, a rotation speed of 78 rpm is supported.

Two Oscillators with Deep Modulation

This is a no-compromise compact recreation of a complete voice - lacking only the desktop synth's polyphony. Two oscillators each include multiple waveforms (triangle, ramp, pulse, and square on the VCO-1, with sine and noise replacing triangle and square on VCO-2). Hard sync is available, as is configurable modulation, with dedicated PWM (controlled manually, via LFO, or via envelope 1), and tweakable modulation amounts from both LFO and envelope 1 to VCO-1, VCO-2, or both. The LFO section provides access to waveform (sine, saw, square, random), rate, and delay.

Unmistakable Filter, Dual Envelopes, Musical Control

The unique classic 80s Japanese filter sound is fully embodied here, with highpass filter, lowpass with two slope options (-12 dB, -24 dB), and resonance, all with their own controls. Dual envelopes, each with four stages, are assignable to the filter, VCO modulation (ENV-1), and VCA (ENV-2), with an envelope mod fader. Envelope 1 also sports a polarity switch. As with our desktop synths, musical control is front and center, literally: you'll find dedicated controls for toggling keyboard input to each envelope, a keyboard amount to VCF fader. If you're using ISE-NIN alone as a voice, you'll have access to 1v/octave and gate inputs with glide control.

Unprecedented Patchability

Start with ISE-NIN VOICE (36HP), and you'll already have a deep semi-modular instrument on its own. But add ISE-NIN BREAKOUT (22HP), and you can place every single control under one-to-one voltage control for unmatched patchability and programmability. This is a level of sound possibility that could would normally require investing in several rows of modules; here, they're all readily accessible on one convenient, compact front plate. Not only do you get dedicated inputs for the oscillators, filters, and each separate envelope stage for both of the two envelopes, but there are separate FM inputs to each oscillator and every possible routing of the LFO, envelope, and keyboard. Notes: In the mid-nineties, documentarian Peter Spirer embarked on a three-year odyssey to offer a realistic view of Hip-Hop and the people and culture it encompassed, interviewing over 80 artists involved in the art form. Spirer managed to capture a seminal moment as the culture balanced on the cusp of the mainstream. As Ice-T comments in his foreword to the book, 'Rhyme & Reason is one of the few films that was there to document us before Hip-Hop truly exploded.' While filming, Spirer took accompanying stills using a medium format Rolleiflex camera. It is these photographs that form The Book Of Rhyme & Reason. 'The Rollei allowed me to capture some amazing moments: Puffy getting a trim in his office while doing three tasks at once, Biggie opening record plaques on his couch, Ice-T and Mack 10 hanging with their homies, Heavy D at the barber, playing pool. There was the Jack The Rapper convention with Death Row making a statement, at a Disney World Hotel, that ended in chaos. There were magical moments such as Redman and Erick Sermon freestyling on the mic to amazed onlookers at a block party in Newark and watching Wu-Tang Clan chop it up on the block in Staten Island on a cold winter's day before they exploded.'

This coffee table volume features over 130 of Spirer's photographs from 1994 to 1997. As Hip-Hop commemorates its fiftieth anniversary in 2023, it is particularly fitting that many of these images from this formative period are being seen and published for the first time.

These are simple and compact Eurorack cases, perfect for small, focused systems, taking along on travels, or as a tabletop addition to a larger setup.

Cases are available in 4 sizes; 3U 84HP / 6U 84HP / 3U 52HP / 6U 52HP sizes. They all offer 1 Amp on both the -12V and +12V rails per row.

Great modern cases

The ALM powered Eurorack case was originally designed for the System Coupe. Wider interest has seen it evolve into a range of different sized cases being made available by themselves.

A fixed solid bus board provides quality ample power and plentiful keyed power connectors. The shielded DC/DC power converter is low noise and includes overload and short circuit protection. Fixed, quality mounting rails are used over sometimes frustrating sliding nuts. The case has a great looking all anodised aluminium construction that is both strong and light.

The case proportions are designed to look great on a table or desk (not too deep, just enough) and also be easy to fit in a bag and transport.
