Review: Dub Roots Underground's initial release serves up 2 new unreleased dubplate versions of roots classics, first up the mighty Burning Spear with the classic "Ites, Gold & Green" with the unmistakable vocals of Winston Rodney, originally released in the late 70s. The flip brings another true reggae living legend, Horace "Sleepy" Andy Hinds holds the rare distinction of having one of the most recognizable and unusual voices in the history of Jamaican music. Horace Andy's haunting falsetto has been imitated by scores of artists over the years and his compositions include some of the most covered material in reggae history. This cut originally saw the light of day on the classic Studio One label.

Review: Campbell's "Heavy Roots" vocal track has been on dub plate for around 12 months and has received extensive play, especially on the French circuit. Along with the respective dubs, a complementary Melodica instrumental version from Bob Ormrod (Hot & Rich) has been included.

Review: The first single from the eagerly anticipated new album by the Trojan Sound System. TSS's scintillating version of Liquidator by The Harry J All Stars has been wowing dancefloors across the UK and Europe. Features an exclusive dub remix of the track by Wrongtom (Hard-Fi's DJ). This is the mighty Trojan Sound System, representing the finest catalogue of classic reggae music in the world. The Trojan Sound System has been smashing up contemporary dance floors throughout the UK and continental Europe over the last few years and has been playing alongside the most legendary reggae artists on the planet; Horace Andy, Gregory Isaacs, Barrington Levy, Big Youth, Max Romeo... the list goes on. Due to the System selectas' involvement within dance music culture they have also crossed over into dance and cutting edge music night clubs and festivals and are regular headliners at venues such as: London's Cargo, Notting Hill Arts Club and Plastic People. They have played main stages at festivals such as Big Chill and Respect, featured at the Isle of White Festival and many more right through to headlining stadiums in Italy and clubs all over Eastern Europe. Liquidator is the first single to be taken from the Trojan Sound System's debut album. The track has been wowing fans at their live shows with the original version by Harry J having been re-edited and amended with superb vocal performances from the sound system MCs, Chuckie Banton & Superfour. The single also features a dub-tastic version by Hard-Fi's tour DJ, Wrongtom; the 1969 original by the Harry J All Stars and a cracking version from 1972 by Bongo Herman, Bunny & Les.

Review: On the same rhythm as 'I'm Going Home', Joe Higgs' 'Journey to Freedom' is
a lead trombone instrumental work out to the vocal version. Superb jazz
tinged blow out 'Journey to Freedom' is as rare as they come. Hypnotic.

Review: Fatty's dub reversions never fail to impressive - his cover of Ol' Dirty Bastard requires repeat reloads every time - but this hook-up with fellow Mr Bongo artist Hollie Cook takes things never level. Taking the classic 1980 one-hit-wonder from The Whispers and giving it a royal dub swing, Fatty and Cook have created a superb cover that takes the original disco funk number into a whole new pasture. Unmissable.
