Alex Jangle & MatztaM - "Glowbones" (7:04)
Faer - "Serious Repitions" (7:43)
Deadbeat & The Mole - "All Creepy No Sleepy" (5:45)
Review: It is no mean feat to last 10 years no matter your business, but to do so as a record label in this day and age is worthy of maximum respect. Fair play to Det Gode Selskab then for marking the occasion with a tidy new 12" that showcases just what the label is all about. There is chunky tech with grinding bass but lush old school melodies on 'Can't Cure Curiosity' while Alex Jangle & Matztam's 'Glowbones' cuts totally loose on dreamy synth daubs, painterly lines and rubbery house loops. Faer takes a more dark, heads-down path for his spooky 'Serious Repetions' and as you would expect of Deadbeat & The Mole they bring off-kilter loops, unbalanced drums and a ramshackle rhythm that will have you shaking your bones.

Aiwaska - "Trip" (6:16)
Kaiser Waldon - "Colours" (feat Yates - Omeria remix) (6:58)
Fake Mood & Dibidabo - "Coconana" (Nicone Acid Disco Nana remix) (6:28)
Mutul & David Read - "Breath" (Pablo Bolivar Remake) (7:02)
Review: Cult German club Bar 25 had a great spot down by the river and an organic, boho vibe. It has long since carried that over into its label which deals in contemporary minimal from a wide range of producers. The rather incredible 200th release is now here and is a various artists affair that starts with Aiwaska's 'Tip' which is dark and driving. Elsewhere an Omeria remix of Kaiser Waldon is more deep and Fake Mood & Dibidabo's 'Coconan' gets a textured and chugging Nicone Acid Disco Nana remix. Last but not least is a Pablo Bolivar Remake with dubbed-out deepness.

Review: German label and once-cult club Bar 25 is making its 200th release with a series of remixes. The EP comes in different formats with this being a limited edition purple marbled 12" with a special postcard included. Aiwaska's 'Tip' delivers a dark and driving energy, setting a fine tone for the release from the off. Meanwhile, Omeria's remix of Kaiser Waldon takes a deeper approach, creating a rich and immersive soundscape. Fake Mood & Dibidabo's 'Coconan' receives a textured and chugging transformation with Nicone's Acid Disco Nana remix. Finally, Pablo Bolivar's remake brings a dubbed-out sense of deepness and rounds out the collection with his signature touch.

ADMNTi & Jack Ling - "Meat Slap" (6:02)
Fanick - "Watch Me" (5:31)
Modal Logic - "Space & Science Center" (6:11)
Review: Dungeon Funk lands heavily here with a debut release that sets a good standard from the off. This marks the first time that assured and hardcore deep house heads Dungeon Meat and SlapFunk Records have come together and it is the result of Meat man Brawther hosting a comp on his Patreon channel for aspiring producers to try and impress. From the many entries he received, the four best are served up here starting with Ibiza-based A.M. Project whose 'Flippin' Kicks' has heavyweight kicks and plunging bass. UK-based ADMNTi & Jack Ling offer the quick tech funk of 'Meat Slap', Russia's Fanick brings a trippy breakbeat vibe with 'Watch Me' and Canada's Modal Logic offers 'Space and Science Center', a nice loopy and low-slung banger to close.

Sneg (Vern remix) (7:11)
Review: Few countries do minimal better than the Romanians, and it has been that way now for well over a decade. PhonicHouse1 is one of the more recent labels to emerge from the country, and this is its fourth release. It takes the form of a collaborative EP between Anas M and Farid Odibekov with a couple of tasty remixes. 'Dozhd' is first up and is a nice languid and loose tech house groove with bulbous synths and dry drums. Mikhu makes it a much fuller sound with myriad cosmic details then 'Sneg' is a pumper with farting bass sounds and snares encircling you on the dance floor. A Vern remix is filled with pent up but coy funk and bubbling arps.

Fsk24 & Solal Reyes - "Tongue Twister" (6:22)
Review: The twisted and trance-infused progressive techno sound of Les Disques De La Jungle is one we have been keen to hear more from, and here we have it: a new EP featuring some of the artists who have already dropped heat here. AV1 goes first with the crispy metal drums and warped synths of 'Meta2' then Fsk24 & Felix Dulac combine for the hammering tech-funk of 'Un Eclair Dans La Nuit' which would have been a Tyrant classic back in the day. Fsk24 then hooks up with Nils for the stomping and noen-lit jungle-tech of 'Toomai Des Elephants' before partnering with Solal Reyes for the tripped out but driving closer 'Tongue Twister'.

Inland Knights - "Hands Up" (6:01)
Review: The Blind Vision label celebrates five years in the age with a nice look back at some of its Hidden Treasures From The Past. Big Al gets underway with an immediatly catchy and dubbed out, stripped back and cool-as-you-like groove in 'If Only' (Silverlining dub). Fred Everything & Jay Tripwire then link to sublet effect on the US garage groove that is 'Sometimes I Feel' with its liquid dub chords and steamy trumpet motifs, and Grant Dell goes for a deep cosmic workout on 'Being There.' Last of all is the chunky house funk of Inland Knights's 'Hands Up', a real dance floor heater with atmospheric vocal musings.

Review: Ben Bohmer recorded this new single on Ninja Tune live at Brooklyn Mirage on October 6th 2023. It comes as a limited edition and hand-numbered 180-gram vinyl 12" with an extended and alternate mix. Both feature Felix Raphael and both have a subtly uplifting prog-house effect that unfolds slowly over the rich, silvery drums and deft synth drones that are all constantly on the rise. The vocals are spine-tinging, soft and tender whispers that help make this a most angelic of sounds.

Brent - "Etoile" (5:50)
Apoteoz & Flyuko - "Wazabi Sword" (6:22)
Itarima - "Amour Degueulasse" (6:12)
Nathanael - "Shroom One" (6:00)
Review: Massive weirdo minimal tech verging on wackout experimental dance from the Planete 51 crew, welcoming five of their greatest to the fore for a new V/A. With producer Brent kicking things off with a fiery fidgeter whose predilection for variation seems to know no end, 'Etoile' is a buzzing, alarmingly comical track, working in strange UI zaps, wobbles and film samples at seemingly every twist and turn. The vibe continues into the Chanbara themed 'Wazabi Sword', which is the ultimate samurai deep tech crossover tune. Itarima weirds things out further with 'Amour Degueulasse' with weirdcore detunings on the lead, before Nathanael takes on a mood of nighttime noir to close things out.

Omar Akrhif & Lucretio - "Orlu Pensylvania" (6:08)
Review: This new collection offers up a quartet of tracks that are all tailored for slightly different moments on the dance floor. On side A, Dani Casarano kicks off with deep, hypnotic grooves that make for an immersive atmosphere before transitioning to punchy, bass-driven energy with other cuts. Side B introduces a new alter ego from Felian and Bruno Schmidt and the pair explore a robotic, looping groove with incidental breaks and nostalgic synths in the euphoric third track. Closing the release in style, Omar Akrhif & Lucretio present a minimalist masterpiece that is aimed at heady after-hours sessions.

Alfredo 92 - "Bora" (8:04)
Review: Suzi from Belgium sure does like to get freaky on the floor. Here the young label continues to assert itself in the minimal world with an energising four-track various artists selection. Dashiell's 'Beep Beep' kick off with just that - lots of bleeps, squats and blurts of synth over a scintillating tech house groove. Beta Librae's 'Listening To The Ants' is a more nuanced cut with stripped-back rhythms and scattered percussion as well as smart effects adding interest. Florist brings a 90s techno feel and Alfredo 92's eight-minute epic 'Bora' is all gurgling sound effects and freaky late-night menace.

Manuel De Lorenzi & Giacomo Silvestri - "The Big Apple Community" (7:09)
Review: Monday Morning is back to roll out some more lush house depths with a second EP, this one featuring founder Manuel De Lorenzi in the company of his pals Giacomo Silvestri, Freddie Wall and Fichs. 'Sun-Rise' is a nice gritty but vibey opener with percussive skip and dry hits. Fichs's solo cut is a loopy workout with nice bulbous synths and a pared-back rhythm that gets ever more inescapable while De Lorenzi then offers up the radiant synth warmth and dubby undercurrents of minimal house shuffler 'You Already Know It.' With Giacomo Silvestri he then closes on the more percussive loops of soft house soother 'The Big Apple Community.'

Review: Coming in hot after last year's Pura Lempuyang compilation is this new two part 12" offering up cuts from it on limited edition turquoise wax. Dib kicks off with 'Cieloterra' which is a devilishly deep and dubby techno cut with fizzing synths running across its face. Federsen is much more smooth and silky with liquid pads and a sublime sense of frictionless groove to his 'Random Motion' while Grad U offers more heavy and stumbling dub quakes on 'From The Shadows.' Last of all is Altone's 'Emergent Structure,' a lush minimal excursion with deft hits and feathery pads over sublime drums.

Review: Brazil is not a label often associated with tech house but Oashi is slowly changing that. This third outing from the small but well formed label is a various artists affair that takes in everything from gritty tech to dreamier house. Direkt kicks off with 'Omnisphere' which is dubbed out and laced up with frazzled synths and Heek & Kike Mayor P's 'Sarandea' is a gentle and subversive goove with dreamy pads and lush samples. The flip side sinks into a smooth groover from Minube & Andrey Djackonda in the form of 'Silk' while Farid Odilbekov closes down with 'Mobile 5,' a nice leggy house workout.

Review: Since 2006, Leipzig-based Bondage Music have had a consistent output of quality deep/tech house grooves by an all-star cast from Mihai Popoviciu, Markus Homm, to Pornbugs and NTFO. Once again showing off their sonic diversity on a various artists EP, "Bondage Games Part 5" features Deep Vibes main man Sascha Dive pursuing his newfound love of cavernous and glacial dub techno sounds on the stark "Dark Night", while label staple Frink goes deeper into the late night on the slinky and seductive bounce of "Vega". Similarly on the flip, Toman serves up some sensual mood music on his offering "Time To Time" and finally Philipp Gonzalez goes for a moody and atmospheric vibe on dancefloor drama "Open Hips".

Sensitive (6:29)
Space Road (6:48)
Ladiescope (5:59)
Review: Arpanet is a new imprint focused on reissuing far-sighted club cuts and electronic curiosities from the dim and distant past, helmed by French veteran DJ Speep. Fittingly, the label's first release is a reissue of Speep's 2001 collaboration with friend Fab, Sensitive. The title track, which resides on side A, is a classic example of moody, turn-of-the-century tech-house, where metallic electronic motifs, foreboding chords and layered percussion rides a dark bassline and swinging, non-stop drums. 'Space Road' offers a more intergalactic, acid-flecked take on early morning, early noughties tech-house, while 'Ladiescope' is warm, tactile, rolling and quietly postive: dreamy tech-house for wannabe astronauts and sun worshippers of all ages.

Review: High-octane experimental trance via freetek via hardcore from Hamburg collective Phantasia, with an absolutely flooring, walloping debut release. The fact that four different artists might each bring their own mood to the table and yet hear their respective sounds unified bespeaks the brilliant mastering job held down here: Dolomea's 'Augural' and Rupert Marnie's 'Elastic Thoughts' commit to a mutual sonic trustfall, one seeming to writhe about in rhythmically unpredictable fashion through pressure-cooked, rubber-ballistic acids, and the other rootling its 4x4 kick snout into floors down under. The B-side goes electro, culminating on the brilliant brainwash by Finona Rider, 'The Impact', a track haunted by the voice in its own head.

Strandzha (5:16)
Review: A Divine Decade on That Divine Bulgaria is an innovative EP that blends minimal, techno, and breakbeat elements with a touch of acid flair. Side-1 features 'Trima Muzhe I Polovinka' (Last Minute DMT mix), a powerful track that drives forward with a commanding beat and an anticipatory buildup. The inclusion of breakbeat gives the track a refreshing twist, evoking the mid-90s West Coast break scene while adding a modern edge. On Side-2, Christopher Ledger's remix of 'Trima Muzhe I Polovinka' introduces a slightly eerie atmosphere, enhanced by a subtle acid line that adds depth and intrigue for a slightly darker version. The side concludes with 'Strandzha,' a track that delivers a big acid breakbeat breakdown. Stripped down with underlying house and trance elements, this track stands out for its creativity and seamless genre fusion. A Divine Decade is a strong offering for fans of forward-thinking electronic music.

Review: The Cimedirapax crew are back with another superb various artists collection that nudges at the borders of tech house and minimal. Eliaz's 'Enbaspremal' is an alien sound with abstract designs and trippy pads and Lapucci then gets deeper and darker on the menacing 'To Be On Top.' F_Phono brings some nu-disco energy and bright 80s arps to 'Sollievo' then Marco Biagioli heads into more occult worlds with the eerie and haunting 'Strange Mirror' before Equinox's 'Intergalactic Space' offers a caustic electro workout.

Review: Toolroom sits at the top of the tree when it comes to big room house music. Mark Knight's label has mastered the art of maximal sounds and this eighth volume of the Tooroom Sampler series is another one that will do plenty of damage. Essel's 'Sweat' is a rigid tech cut with stiff synths and libidinous vocals, then Shiba San and Ayarez get direct with shuffling tech house cut 'Twist It' complete with big skewed synths. Friend Within's 'Pilka' keeps the energy levels high with fizzing synth loops over textured drums and a fat bassline. Maur x Westend and Cami Bear close out with some brighter melodies to get hands in the air on 'Over.'

The debut release is a collaboration with Hubble under the moniker Fabble and it's a fine one with three meticulously crafted tracks that manage to perfectly balance compelling rhythms with plenty of synth-based introspection. 'Catharsis' introduces a three-note Rhodes piano sequence with flowing pads and psychedelic synths and 'Donald' offers a steady 4/4 beat with sombre pads and powerful sub-bass. 'Persignis' with Italian legend Claudio PRC is the most dancefloor-driven with processed pianos creating an emotional mood and in all, this EP sets a nice high watermark for the Hoops label.

Tape Type (7:47)
Superbold (7:05)
Playing Trigs (7:08)
Pivo's View (6:18)
Review: The Eastenderz label continues to kill it and define its own micro-scene with each and every release. Fabe is very much part of this little pocket where tech house, minimal and electronic funk all coalesce into club-ready pumpers with plenty of personalities. 'Tape Type' bobbles along with nice off kilter hits and a rasping bass. 'Superbold' heads to the cosmos with its smeared pads and expansive feel and 'Playing Trigs' then dials it back to silky deep house sounds with lush neon pads. Closer 'Pivo's View' is another airy cut with well-deployed vocal stabs and a general sense of carefree cool that it's hard not to love.

Solid & Straight (6:00)
At The Bar (5:18)
Frozen Cake (6:46)
Had To Go (7:05)
Review: Representing the newer generation of the Mannheim sound, esteemed DJ/producer Fabian Winkels makes a worthy addition to legendary local label Cecille with the Sober Up EP. Fabe's particular brand of minimal house is on display once again, yet more optmised for main room dancefloors this time around. We particularly enjoyed the trippy and swing-fueled minimal funk of opening cut 'Solid & Straight', as well as the rolling, vocal-led tech house of 'At The Bar' or 'Frozen Cake' which are sure to rock dancefloors on The White Isle as much as they will in Berlin, while the deep and emotive B-side cut is aimed squarely at the afterhours dancefloor.

Skip & Tap (6:27)

Shout Out The Box (6:50)
Skip & Tap (Alexander Skancke's Energy mix) (5:08)
Review: Mannheim tech house machine Fabe has been on an unstoppable roll in the past few years, notching up top drawer releases for respected labels like Shall Not Fade, Constant Sound and Cecille. Now he brings that heat to PIV Limited, resulting in a set of workouts which will get any party pumped up in all the right ways. 'Skip & Tap' is a twitchy, freaky workout peppered with fine detail and a relentless groove, while 'Street Scale' has dirty drums and a tweaked sound palette all of its own. 'Shout Out The Box' toys with playful synth lines and a heavy swing which calls to mind the sound of SlapFunk Records and then Alexander Skancke steps up for a remix of 'Step & Tap' which heads into more streamlined, heads-down territory.

Fabe - "Angry Wombats" (6:27)
Janeret - "Floating In Space" (7:12)
Review: Crossed Grooves lock in the fine double act of Fabe and Janeret for two more seriously high quality minimal tracks. Fabe's 'Angry Wombats' has a meaty bassline and chunky drum funk run through with some molten acid lines, while Janeret's 'Floating In Space' is perfectly named. The airy pads circle way up high over floating drums that suspend you in the cosmos. As well as the fine music, this 12" comes in a kinetic art sleeve that has been designed and printed by hand in a Parisian workshop.

Dysto Disco EP

Fabricio - "Collateral Effect" (6:43)
Charleze - "Rage Power" (6:55)
Wooka - "Tirty Dalk" (7:26)
Mooglee - "Things I Love" (6:25)
Review: Kommuna marks its tenth year of activity with this new dancefloor-focused record from various artists whose music "reflects the glimmer of hope that music provides during these dystopian times." Fabricio's 'Collateral Effect' opens with a strident nu-disco sound and retro-future chords that get you moving. Charleze's 'Rage Power' is another chunky disco stomper with some nice cosmic melody and Wooka's 'Tirty Dalk' hits harder with mechanical beats and churning bass. Mooglee's 'Things I Love' brings a more dreamy synth sound but still club-ready beats.

Review: Nicola Facchineri's Prog EP on Twig is a masterclass in hypnotic, groove-centric electronic music, demonstrating the label's knack for crafting compelling club tracks. Each cut on this EP reinforces Twig's reputation for pushing boundaries while keeping it grounded in dancefloor practicality. The opener, 'Lighter Cubes', immediately sets the tone with its spacey atmosphere and mesmerizing bleeps. The track's subtle melodic elements weave through a tapestry of electro sounds, creating a suspenseful build that's perfect for those crucial moments in a set when you need to heighten the tension. 'Juggle' shifts gears with a deeper groove, featuring a blend of bass and acidic synths. Its understated yet infectious rhythm makes it a standout, effortlessly blending subtlety with impact. On the flip side, 'Climbing' lives up to its name with a relentless build-up that turns the dancefloor into a dynamic playground. The track's chuggy bass and intricate drum patterns keep the energy high, demonstrating Facchineri's skill in maintaining momentum. The final track, 'Right Way', wraps things up with a touch of acid and a cool, spacey melody. Its bleepy, synth-driven vibe ensures it fits comfortably into any set, bringing a satisfying conclusion to the EP. Prog EP affirms Twig's status as a go-to label for quality deep club tracks, adding yet another gem to their impressive roster.

Emeline EP

Emeline (5:30)
Felt (6:29)
Mirage (5:05)
Sick Pup (4:31)
Review: Wisdom Teeth co-boss Facta joins the cats on Incienso with this beautify and wide-armed four track 12". Packed with all flavours you'd expect from the young producer, and more, we're treated to a whole menu of vibes. 'Emeline' starts the trip with a jacking, trippy house note that's comparable to the old Classic Music grooves. It's in good company as 'Felt' soothes the soul with its super woozy, off-key waves, the bumpy rolling breakbeat bleeps of 'Mirage' give us pep and the wonderfully dreamy downbeat sludge of 'Sick Pup' sends us off to the cosiest corners of our mind. Sick is the word.
