Review: Hard techno is very much back in fashion now with the younger end of the rave spectrum, in particular. DJs like Charlotte De Witte have made it accessible again and so we're seeing more and more of it on our racks. This one from Abusive offers up a fourth volume of the sounds of acid techno in the modern era. It is high-octane stuff with fresh and irresistible 303 lines ripping up flat-footed, hard-hitting drums from Chris Liberator and Sam DFL. They collaborate on four cuts that could be brand new or could be found in vaults from the 90s. Video game-style lasers defined our particular favoured, which is 'Closer.'
