Front covered by a depiction of the Kobe artist bent tongue-extended over his next batch of sheet music, the record attests to the ingenuity and import of genre-fluid jazz. On the stylistic front, the now Brooklyn-based trumpeter continues the trajectory set by his earlier Midnight Crisp, leaning further into hip-hop beats, neo-soul textures, and electronic layers, though the formative jazz sensibility is not lost, having been shaped by nearly three proud decades of dedicated commitment to the craft.
