It would be fair to say that this second part of the third instalment in Samosa's "Funk Purpose" series includes re-edits and sneaky remixes by some of the biggest hitters in the re-edit and nu-disco scenes. GAMM and Glitterbox regular Moplen leads the charge and in the process delivers a suitably sweaty, percussive and breathless peak-time disco-funk workout called "Ain't No Dub About It". Italian veteran DJ Rocca also impresses with another disco-funk rework, "Da Lion Groove", which successfully rearranges a heavyweight, horn-sporting affair previously re-edited by the Unabombers way back in the early 2000s. Elsewhere, SoulBrigada's "Gonna Do" is a relaxed and loved-up mid-tempo tweak of a saucer-eyed disco number, while the Funk District's "Anywhere You Like" is a tooled-up house revision of a punchy Blaxploitation-era number.
