Rudo Alphabet is the latest in a long line of labels out of Italy to get involved in the heady world of minimal and tech. For their first release, they draw together five talents for one tune each, with Land 9 opening the trip on a smooth and seductive future groove. The Mechanical Man flips the script with much more crunchy drums and frazzled textures but still plenty of sci-fi intent, and then Monitor goes back to 82 with a Mr Fingers-esque deep house cut. There is still time for a bendy downbeat number from IFS and loose limed disco-house gem from DJ GLC.
