Double You vinyl

Producer Amadeo demonstrates the most machinic ends of his craft with 'Double You', which, the title suggests, helps us imagine what it is like to be cloned by way of four, stonking techno shuffles. Merging minimal house and techno for a stereo-wide slow burn, the title track and 'Bayila' both give off a sense of taste, both for phonk, progressivity and bassweight, blending playful bass movements with melodies that err much more heavily on the groovy side. By the B-side, we've reality-shifted, entering through a hidden 'Portal' to 'E-Biza'; the mood conveyed in both tracks is both clandestine and surreptitious, suggesting a hidden realm of shifty undergirds below the dancefloor, a conspiracy of actors pulling the constitutive strings that are your feet.
