Review: We love to see this: Blushing are a dream pop quad from Austin built on hard-wedded nuptial foundations. Two married couples with a shared affinity for 90s shoegaze and breathy melodics combined in 2017 and released early EPs 'Tether' and 'Weak', then a 2019 full-length, to viral acclaim. Now after 2022's Possessions comes a remaster of the first, released initially through the fittingly named Wallflower Records but now through Kanine. At this point, Blushing proved they'd got the shoegaze sound nailed to a thousand-gauss magnet: 'So Many' opens the record with midrange drained, DIY strums, while 'The Truth' stood out as the mid-album revelry, with an accompanying music video documenting a nostalgic wives' video arcade jaunt.
