Review: Agents Of Time return to Afterlife with the 'Midnight Drive In Santiago', EP following on from their debut Forest Of Lies in 2018. Though they fit well within the Afterlife oeuvre, the Chilean trio nonetheless channel a singular sound, bringing synthy, Miami-vice-gripped arp builds to a downtempo pace, amounting to a no less than composed but exciting take on the vintage sonic sublime. Most of us haven't been to Santiago to experience what it might be like to night-drive there; but we're more than sure that this EP will still survive the car test and provide a worthy vicarious alternative, with the toothy cascades and chromatic synth swells of 'Midnight Drive' and emergent arps of 'Chain Reaction' making for a compelling second-best.

Review: Kevin de Vries collaborates with rising stars Y do I on his latest EP and it is a three-track journey showcasing the signature Afterlife sound. Merging emotionally charged moments with driving basslines and electrifying energy, the duo strikes a balance between light and dark while cooking up grooves that resonate deeply. Each track embodies the label's ethos of fostering close dancefloor connections through rhythm, emotion and vibration. This is evocative, painstakingly designed melodic techno with pristine synth work and sleek drums that carry you into all new worlds.

Review: On his first release of any sort since dropping his debut album, 'The Serve of the Abnormal', last year, Denis Horvat makes his bow on Afterlife with an EP that drags tech-house and minimal house in dark, trippy new directions. For proof, check opener 'Cha Cha', a menacing, EBM-influenced affair that peppers a chugging, early morning groove with rising and falling lead lines, creepy counter melodies and rasping, trance style stabs. The EP's inherent sense of clandestine atmosphere comes to the fore once more on shuffling, moody vocal number 'Precious Unica', before the Copenhagen-based producer opts for a more forthright darkwave meets-peak-time-tech-house flex on 'Momentum of the Arapaima'. Closing cut 'Majstor', meanwhile, is an incredibly trippy, K-hole trance number underpinned by a wonky triple-time beat.

Review: Afterlife is not just a label and party brand but a way of life for melodic techno lovers. It's headed up by Italian pair Tale Of Us and now welcomes back regular artist Massano following his exemplary debut EP, In My System. This one opens up with 'Shut Down' (extended mix) which has something in common with hard techno in the flat drums and trance-like synths, all of which are sure to get those hands in the air. 'Cybernova' (extended mix) then come son the flip and is more subbed and subtle in the way it builds towards a big emotional peak. Two epic tracks for main rooms all over the world.

Review: American talent SCRIPT makes a bold entrance onto the esteemed Afterlife imprint with 'On The Low', a track that's already been making waves in the electronic music scene. It marks a significant milestone, as SCRIPT becomes the first American artist to grace the label's catalogue with a stand-alone single. 'On The Low' is a captivating blend of pulsating rhythms, mesmerising synth layers and a catchy vocal hook that's been echoing through clubs and festivals alike. Its journey from a humble Splice sample to a genre-defying anthem is a testament to SCRIPT's production prowess and his ability to craft music that resonates with both discerning DJs and enthusiastic crowds.

Review: Afterlife is one of melodic techno's most recognisable brands and a label with a very specific sonic signature. It's one you will either love or hate and this EP will likely not change that as it very much fits with the usual musical MO. It's a powerful solo outing from Adam Sellouk and start with an opening collaboration with KAS:ST that mixes up tough drums and deep synth emotions. 'Confusion' sees him team up with Glowal for more synth techno melodrama and last of all 'Poison' marries heartfelt vocals with sombre stabs and sweeping beats to lift dancers off their feet.
