Review: Following Mr G and Stingray's hefty refix session, the ID crew lay down four more dot-joining exercises between tempos and techniques. "Weaving Dub" is a future flexback to jungle's heady formative era, "To The Club" is a dub house gem with a winningly awkward vocal texture used as a hook. "Pushin'" takes us deeper into the sub swamp with rolling broken beats and layers of squelchy lava bass while "Russ Elements" takes us back to the 170 zone with a dynamic that places the hook about a mile ahead of the faraway drums. Woozy, weird and wonderful.

Review: Their anonymity still impressively intact, no one knows who the London/Berlin partnership behind these left side dubwise slices are, but everyone is loving them. Having showcased aspects of jungle and classic dub on the previous outings, this Record Store Day special explores both hip-hop culture and very early techno flavours... "Track 1" dusts off an old soul gem, strips it back and slows it right down. "Track 2", meanwhile, retains an element of b-boy flavour thanks to the cool scratches, but its bassy body and lo-fi groove screams classic Bleep, Coldcut or Unique 3. Both are genuinely unique.

Review: New label Itinerant Dub introduces itself with three L.I.E.S and Appointment inspired tracks. The first, "Itinerant Magic", takes up the entire A-side and sees distorted everything calmed and controlled by a cosmically bleepy and arpeggiated synth. The B-side is too fast at 45rpm and too slow at 33rpm - or is it? "Jack The Dub" sounds like a busker freestyle junk-drumming on a busy street, while "Monkey" - still distorted - sees Caribbean riddims and jungle sounds make for a sparse and ambient drum track.

Review: Hold tight! The Itinerant Dubs camp resurfaces with Spirit In The Underworld, a second unholy concoction of bassweight pressure for your consumption. Emerging from the West London ether with the three Itinerant Magic 12" last month, this unknown collective of selectors showed they can dip into all ends of bass indebted dancefloor culture yet do it in a manner that shows they have the utmost respect and knowledge of dub, techno, jungle and can brandish it with mutant aplomb. The heavyweight Spirit In The Underworld 12" fins space for one extra Itinerant exploration and rolls deep from the off with the heavy stepping "D-into-core". From here, they veer through the slack jawed grime with "Flipped Out Tango" whilst "Hypnotic Jungle" and the title cut show their skills for frenetic, loose limbed rhythmics.
