The award for the most psychedelically imbued record of the week goes to Dalston fashion boutique and sometime label LN:CC and the long over due first release from the Spirit Bear Mezcal Ensemble. Featuring the collective talents of Thomas Bullock, Tiago, Jonny Nash, Land Of Light's Kyle Martin and Lucky Hole's Merrick Adams, the Spirit Bear Mezcal Ensemble came together at LN:CC's basement venue earlier this year and indulged in a trio of 15 minute improvised performances in front of a n audience with both performers and witnesses enhanced by a serious dose of Mezcal tasting. This 12" presents a 25 minute unedited recording of the final improvised piece which allegedly unfurled with the entire room experiencing "a unified musical energy". One for the shamanistic freeform disco heads out there - as usual the presentation is impeccable!
