Female vocalist Sharon Jones was a leading light in the raw soul revival sounds that Daptone excel in right up until her untimely passing. Of all her many great albums, It's A Holiday Soul Party is one of the most essential because of the joy it brings during cold and festive evenings. It is one that is always in hot demand but had to find so thankfully in time for Xmas 2021 the label reissues it here on a limited edition red and white splattered vinyl. Her own direct vocals muse on everything from the logistics of Santa delivering presents to houses without chimneys in the ghetto to fresh takes on classics like 'Funky Little Drummer Boy.'
