Their tortured souls stitched and fixed, Nicole and her intrepid investigators return with their fourth album. Committing to a different writing process (one that's much more jam-focused and spontaneous) there's a wonderfully loose and natural feeling throughout the entire EP. From the dreamy, hazy far-away gazes and yearns of "Angel" to the straight-up Motown homage "Together We Climb" by way of some really spacious, mesmerising instrumentals ("Vulture's Prayer" is especially notable), the whole album surges with a finely tuned balance of professional slickness and genuine excitement for the music. Easily one of their best long players to date. Which is saying something.
