Limited to just 100 copies, Michele Ottini debuts ‘Acqua Alla Gola’ on 7” for Pace In Stereo, two ultra-utilitarian exercises in drum machine-led sonic icings. ‘Acqua Alla Gola’, the title track, gleams with a profuse acerb, with spitting snares and neatly placed glut-arps standing out no less than they need provide the rhythmic backbone. ‘Stella D’Oro’ formalistically macerates the beat even more so, settling on the sheer toothy contrast of knobbly bass burst, popcorn synth mesmerism and up-down drums.
