You Scare Me To Death (reissue) vinyl

Reissued Sounds reissue Marc Bolan's first posthumous album, originally released in 1981, four years after the T Rex bandleader's death in a tragic car crash. Consisting of outtakes and demos recorded by Bolan in 1966, some of the songs would later be recorded by the remaining members of T. Rex; though most of these appeared in rawer form as part of the album The Beginning Of Doves in 1974. The title number brings the usual Bolanesque mix of raunchy vocal performances and fuzz-packed guitar rolls, while the likes of 'I'm Weird' and 'The Perfumed Garden Of Gulliver Smith' are undeniably more experiental offerings, it's a marker of where Bolan might have headed as an artist had his career noit been cut short so suddenly.
