Perhaps as a result, only a band like Local Psycho could ever save its reputation among electronic music lovers. The duo in question - Jem Ferner (The Pogues) and Jimmy Cauty (The KLF) - are certainly apt to toy around with one, given that most of the only other examples of such knowing Hurdy Gurdy use come in LP form, without acoutrement or embellishment, and played by long-haired hippie dudes. Quite the contrary here: 'Gurdy Song' is a Celtic drum & bass via industrial breaks opus, with massive breakdowns on both the original and Back To The 90 Mix, and only the B2 channelling the endless chillout reality-tunnels accessible via the instrument alone.
