After some time away the big man Levon comes down from on high with hands stretched aloft, the bearer of big tunes. Gone are the murky basement incantations of old - on this new album Vincent has not so much thrown open the curtains as carved a massive hole in the ceiling to let the sunlight in. Just feel the vitamin D raining down from that searing opening track, "Kiss Marry Kill". There are big Beefa-ready moments such as the DX7 bassline hook of "Flowers For Algernon", hymnal epics to part the seas like "The Vampire Lestat" and eye-swelling heart swoons for the sun down sensitive souls ("She Likes To Wave At Passing Boats"). On this record, Vincent is here for everyone, and we're so here for that.
