Lazarus returns for his sophomore effort, this one comes courtesy of Lauren Chalmers & Paul Patterson's Of Paradise imprint, and follows up some great ones on the label of late by Oall Hates and Stratton. It's a distinctly UK affair on the Downwards EP, so much so that you'd be as surprised as we were to discover that he's actually from Nuremberg, Germany. From the haunting knackered house vibe of the title track, to "Back One Eighty" and its deconstruction of dub techno aesthetics, to the glacial and cavernous warehouse stomp of "There Is No Meaning". On the B side, hear the death of euphoria on the epic rave reinterpretation of "Conjunct". This EP further cements the ascendant producer's status as a hugely exciting and incredible prospect - tip!
