Inspired by the shifting seascapes of Josephine Davies' Shetland roots, Weatherwards by her Satori project reflects the islands' enduring influence. Over seven years and four albums, Satori remains Josephine's musical home and is where her saxophone artistry thrives. The compositions are rooted in Shetland's landscapes and her personal history, and they introduce pianist Alcyona Mick alongside bassist Dave Whitford and drummer James Maddren. Weatherwards highlights Satori's hallmark: a dynamic balance of free-flowing creativity and unity in a sumptuous jazz framework.
