Electroconvulsive Therapy Volume 2: Fuzz Dance (Record Store Day 2014) vinyl

Record Store Day Edition: Last year's inaugural Electroconvulsive Therapy from Medical Records was the Seattle label's first ever compilation release, and was pretty broad in focus taking in all manner of early 80s international curios. This second volume narrows the scope to centre specifically on the Fuzz Dance subsidiary of Italian label Materiali Sonori. Bridging the gap between primitive synth, new wave and Italo disco, most releases on the now defunct Fuzz Dance featured the hand of Maurizio Dami AKA Alexander Robotnick in some capacity or other, and it's a label that is more than worthy of some retrospective praise. Electroconvulsive Therapy Volume 2 highlights some of the label's rarer moments, and is presented in the most intriguing of ways with both the A and B sides from 12"s by Trophy, ZED and Mya & The Mirror presented either face of this record. Fans of rare Italo will be all over ZED's "Plastic Love".
