Canadian producer Dave Psutka lays down a marker for his eagerly awaited second LP A/B Til Infinity with a second release on the Night Slugs White Label series. With the themes and concepts behind the album still something of a closely guarded secret, NS fans will no doubt see this as some degree of insight into what's to come with alternate versions of tracks from A/B Infinity placed either side. A 'reduced' take on "Water" by Psutka himself sits on the A Side, and the quite vivid Night Slugs description of the track as "a subterranean electrical storm expressed as acid-tech" rings true; a vicious acid line coils menacingly, throbbing with modulated intensity as the track ripples forward. Face down and Night Slugs transatlantic grime enthusiast Helix obliterates "Adult" in typically precision fashion - those drum rolls!
