'Heroes' is the David Bowie song even people who aren't fans of David Bowie love. It is also the title of the 12th studio album from the British maverick and one of his most successful. It comes from his famous 70s Berlin period and was written in West Berlin with collaborator Brian Eno and producer Tony Visconti. Most of the tunes were crafted in the studio, on the spot, with Bowie adding his lyrics later. It was a commercial hit that peaked at number three on the UK albums chart and features one half of conventional rock tunes and one half of more instrumental tracks.
