The Haunted Purple Bathtub vinyl

Billy Ghost is the instrumental project of The Kickback singer and songwriter Billy Yost. The Purple Haunted Bathtub is the first full release from the producer, emphasizing his love of instrumental hip hop, antiquated sampling technology, and the VHS collection amassed by his five older brothers from which he cribs many of the vocal and dialog snippets that litter the album. In an already flooded "lofi" genre, Yost has sought to carve out a space by creating "definable hooks that hopefully bother you for days" over the top of his dusty drums. The Haunted Purple Bathtub is dedicated to Yost's dog, a shiba inu named Opal, who adorns the cover of the album.
