Review: B is the first in a series of three albums that Bjarki will release on Nina Kraviz' label this year. If this first instalment is anything to go on, the Icelandic producer looks set to provide a real mixed bag. The album starts with the jarring, rave-heavy break beats of "Marsian Raver" before veering into stripped back, pounding techno ("Opalocka Acid Groove 12 Bit Mix") and the DBX, pitch-bent vocal minimalism of " Planet Earth Q94 [Live Edit]". Proving that he is a maverick, hyperactive talent, the album also features the wispy downtempo "Son Of A Son" and the grimy bass and electro ticks of " T4it 3". Heaven only knows what the next two albums will sound like.

Review: Wildcard techno doesn't come spicier than this. Russia's Buttechno is a prolific operator with seemingly endless ideas about how to subvert the formulaic trappings of 4/4 dance music without losing a fundamental functionality at the heart of the matter. This, his fifth album, lands on trip in a tangled mess of unpolished jams, fractious grooves and the kind of unbridled creativity that marks out a truly great artist. There's a punky quality to both the musical ideas and the beyond-the-grave voice that peppers many of the tracks, and it makes for a truly thrilling techno long player that moves according to its own rules. All hail Buttechno, doing it his own way and sounding utterly untouchable in the process.

Review: Vladimir Dubyshkin has released all of his music on Nina Kraviz's trip. There has been just five EPs over five years but in that time he has honed in on a fine signature sound and plenty of them have become underground hits. Now he serve su a fulsome scone statement in the form of this debut album. It is a fine and surreal journey through sound with his deft synth craft front and centre. There is plenty to love here from the Theism the Tank Engine them tune on acid that is 'The Rothschild Party' to the warped dub techno pop of 'Adrenochrome Breakfast' via the thrilling jungle closer 'We're Not In The Wonderland Anymore, Alice'.

Review: Nina Kraviz's trip label is one of the most unique in techno. It's a hotbed for the more experimental producers out there and often drops punchy sounds that draw on trance, IDM, rave, electro and plenty more. Nocow is next up with a double album that unfurls at a high speed and is packed with freshness. 'Eno Ne To' is marbled with trippy melodies and spoken words, 'Hyperloop' is as the name suggests warp speed and hypnotic and 'Redaktor' is another soft and grey blend of supple drums, bass and day-glo synth lines.

Review: We didn't see this coming but we're very much delighted it has: the peerless dub techno don Steve O'Sullivan with a full length of past triumphs and unreleased gems on Nina Kraviz's always adventurous Trip label is always going to be worth hearing. The Brit stretches his legs and pulls out all the stops here to cover plenty of ground while reaming true to his signature sound design excellence: bouncy, minimal but strobe-lit cuts like 'Kesk', twisted 90s techno sounds like 'Grun', barely-there IDM-adjacent sounds like 'Groente' and ice cold dub cuts like 'Botala'. A real masterclass.

Review: Mind-bogglingly prolific and eternally on the mark, Aleksi Perala has travelled a long way from his roots as Ovuca and Astrobotnia since embarking on his Colundi quest. Here we are with another wonderful set, this time presented on Trip which might well break his stellar sound to an even wider audience. There are theories behind Colundi which you would need to investigate yourself, but it might be simplest to just plunge into this immaculate techno creation and test the effects for yourself. Spine-tingling harmonic interplay, impeccably balanced sequences and a direct rhythmic approach make this so easy to latch on to, but there's something mystical bubbling away under the surface which elevates this beyond your average techno record.

Review: Finnish producer Aleksi Perala brings his brand of melodic, high-concept techno to Nina Kraviz's Trip label for the first time. As usual, the ten tracks here were created using Perala's now infamous "Colundi Sequence" - a micro-tuning method that's now almost better known than the former Rephlex man's music. There's naturally much to admire throughout, from restless club tracks blessed with rainbow-rich waves of melody, to strange, acid-fired wig-outs, low-slung, bass-heavy jack-tracks and glistening fusions of club-ready IDM and ultra-violet ambient. As a producer, Perala possesses a rare skill: the ability to create melodious, experimentally minded electronic music that works on club dancefloors. It's this that makes Paradox such an impressive release.

Review: Warsaw-based Jurek Przezdziecki aka Praecox has a sound that is a perfect fit for Nina Kraviz's unique Trip label. Prima Sort is his new EP and it blends classy psytrance with hints of house and techno across new tracks but also a few refreshed versions of previously released ones. Each track feels fresh and timeless as Prze?dziecki's unique approach combines classic psytrance and techno influences with a highly organic, improvisational creative process. His music, born from extended improvisation and meticulous arrangement, is deeply personal and authentic and influenced by 90s new-beat and industrial legends alike.

Population One - "Bonus Beat" (4:50)
Exos - "Nuclear Guard" (13:12)
Parrish Smith - "1.0/8.0 Africa Genocide" (2:46)
Review: It was probably inevitable that Nina Kraviz would launch her own label. Even so, the fact that she's chosen to do it with an eight-track compilation featuring previously unheard material from herself and a mix of veterans (Exos, Steve Stoll, Terrence Dixon under the Population One alias) and newcomers (Parrish Smith, Bjarki) is particularly noteworthy. While Kraviz's own contributions have an unsettling, off-kilter tech-house feel, for the most part The Deviant Octopus is as dark and intense as its' fuzzy sleeve art suggests. That means Berlin-friendly late night techno and throbbing, otherworldly jack tracks aplenty, with occasional lapses into distorted analogue acid. The slowed down vocal mix of "Out Of Control" from the recent Population One LP is a real highlight too!

Nikita Zabelin - "Rush" (4:51)
Deniro - "Organezized" (5:42)
Review: De Niro Is Concerned is the latest compilation to surface on Nina Kraviz's trip imprint - the Siberian artist's label gaining new momentum in 2015 and diversifying thanks to a selection of fresh artists - and it's an exquisite blend of house, techno and straight-up jack-funk. Among others, you have Iceland's Bjarki with the raw and sparse "Revolution", Millsian Detroit sounds from Deniro on Dumans, and Kraviz herself with Exos on the wavey and hypnotic "No Criminals". All in all, a wildly comprehensive bundle of house-techno hybrids for that 3am slot. Raw and diverse, wild and seductive.

The Mover - "Track One" (5:05)
Review: Nina Kraviz knows that January is usually a rather bleak month. Thus, she's tried to raise the spirits of Trip label fans everywhere by delivering this surprise New Year present: a tidy, eight-track compilation of previously unreleased cuts from the imprint's growing family of contributors. There's much to banish the January blues, from the all-action acid-techno intensity of Buttechno's "Rostokino Acid" and the mildy aggressive, off-kilter industrial techno hypnotism of PTU's "Mstera", to the buzzing, machine-fired dancefloor psychedelia of "Noise Psychosis" by Carlota and the sparkling, Autechre-via-Moscow bounce of The Mover's "Track One". Throw in typically sludgy, out-there workouts from Vladimir Dubyshkin, the trip boss herself and Snazzy FX's Dan Snazelle, and you have a fine collection of floor-focused experimental techno cuts.

Universal Indicator - "15 C7" (2:51)
Roma Zuckerman - "Zero" (5:15)
Nina Kraviz - "Opa" (3:11)
Review: There's a loose concept surrounding the latest double EP-come-compilation from Nina Kraviz's TRIP label. Fundamentally this is a collection that mixes "essential gems" from the label's catalogue with a wealth of previously unreleased material. Kraviz's own "Opa", a fiendishly leftfield techno assault that's as skewed and out-there as they come, is undoubtedly amongst the highlights, but it's not alone. Check, in particular, the hectic, mind-altering braindance business of Biogen's "Hexagraphic", the speaker-busting loop techno intensity of "Grasshunter" by Exos, and the utter insanity of Bjarki's "3-1 Tap Lush", whose bizarre and tipsy manipulated non-verbal vocal sounds are capable of inducing travel sickness even in seasoned travelers.

Review: Nina Kraviz' TRIP label knows how to put out conceptual releases featuring some high calibre music canvassing a wide spectrum of artists. This Sleep Not Found edition sees the label tap into some minimal sounds thanks to cuts from Roma Zuckerman (Hawtin vibes abound on the title track), a TRIP upstart, Perlon's Maayan Nidam ("Justice For Some" is damn funky!) and label faithful Exos. His "Dub Jazz" track helps bridge the gap between minimal and techno, with heavier cuts coming from Bbbbbb, A_000 and Deniro's Skudge-like "G".

Vladimir Dubyshkin - "Hair Like String, Like A Harp" (6:14)
Review: Nina Kraviz seems to have a thing for double-pack compilations. Of the first three releases on her label, Trip, two were double-vinyl sets featuring contributions from a wide range of artists. This fourth missive from the imprint sticks to Kraviz's tried-and-tested formula. Predictably, it's stuffed with high-grade material, from the wonky, acid-goes-bump madness of Population One's "Demonstration 9", and low-slung techno throb of Bjarki's "PC Muscles", to the out-there jack attack of Fred P's "Higher Mentalism (Edit)", and raging, "Energy Flash" style madness of Vladimir Dubyshkin's "Hair Like Strings Like A Harp". The Siberian label manager's own contribution, the freaky anthem "Let's Do It", is arguably one of her strongest cuts, too.
