Review: Guy Ritchie's multi-award winning 2015 movie The Man From U.N.C.L.E. was a new take on the hit 1960s television series of the same name. The music is part of what makes it great and it comes from Ivor Novello-winning and multi-BAFTA nominated composer Daniel Pemberton. His music mixes super relaxing lounge instrumentals taking in element sou jazz and swing with some stone cold classics like Roberta Flack's 'Compared To What' and Nina Simone gem 'Take Care Of Business.' This double vinyl package contains a four page booklet and is limited to 1000 copies.

Review: Although acclaimed by critics as Roy Budd's most impressive scores, the British composer's soundtrack for Michael Winner's 1973 crime thriller The Stone Killer has long been almost impossible to find - in part because it was only ever released in Italy and Japan. This reissue then is long overdue. The originally released soundtrack - a subtly synth-laden fusion of Blaxploitation style funk, spy-movie chic, jazz-funk, suspenseful orchestration and typically quirky musical eccentricities - can be found stretched across both sides of record one, with the second disc gathering together previously unreleased outtakes, alternative mixes and unheard compositions. These are by and large every bit as good as those tracks that originally made the cut and genuinely enhance the quality of the release.

Review: French label Wagram have pulled together a great compilation here featuring 12 essential funk and soul tracks from the Baxploitation era. Out was a time define, musically, by a groove heavy strain of soul throughout the 70s so makes for a n all killer no filler collection. Incredible Bongo Band kick things off with the high speed funk of 'Bongolia,' All The People bring more raw, soul infused styles on their 'Cramp Your Style' (feat Robert Moore) and Lafayette Afro Rock Band work up a real psyched out sound with 'Darkest Light,' which has an iconic lead riff.

Review: It's now 50 years since French film composer Francois De Roubaix recorded the music for the famous Belgian horror classic Daughters of Darkness. It is just one of many OST that he penned, but is arguably his most famous. The film was an erotic vampire movie that has a strangely seductive musical accompaniment which consists of a lot of different musical elements from experimental synth pieces to tense ambient via unsettling drones. The eagled eared might recognise some bits of it as hip hop artist ahem often pillaged the albums for samples, most recently Lil Wayne. t's one of Francois' finest pieces of music and one of the best horror flicks there is.

Review: Serge Gainsbourg and Jean-Pierre Sabar composed the soundtrack for Goodbye Emmanuelle (also known as Emmanuelle 3) in 1977. The movie was the peak of erotic softcore film making and the music that goes with it is not far behind in terms of steaminess. Of course, it's all a little tune in cheek - you wouldn't actually want to put the son to woo your partner unless you wanted them to break out in giggles but is sure is a fun listen. The gentle beats, tender and sibilant vocal whispers, the lush keys, they all make for a sultry soundtrack with sojourns into Latin, soul and funk.

Review: If this is your first encounter with the unfathomably smooth and inescapably seductive Armando Trovajoli then it's important to at least get partially acquainted pretty quickly. After all, there's a distinct possibility anyone who encountered the virtuoso would wind up falling head over heels in love, or lust, with his come-to-bed jazz. As such it's only polite to know who you're sleeping with, sonically at least.

Widely regarded as Italy's numero uno for swinging cats at the time, although not everything on this score to the 1964 Piero Vivarelli movie Il Vuoto is destined to leave you battling natural urges, 'Sequence 3' is surely all about partying for example, there's a great deal that does seem to bat eyelashes and invite you upstairs for a drink, saxophone, keys, un-rushed confidence and all.

Review: Studio Ghibli's busy May continues with an exclusive 7" box set with pink wax and a specially branded 45rpm adapter included. The collection takes in some superb soundtrack highlights from the last 40 odd years with tunes from films such as Nausicaa of the valley of Wind from 35 years ago. Singles including the fantastic 'Castle in the Sky' and 'My Neighbor Totoro' are included here and have even made their way into music textbooks such is their enduring appeal. From eastern pop to retro synth and plenty of nuanced styles in between, this collection has it all.

Review: Joe Hisaishi is one of the most successful composers in the history of Japanese film and television, best known for providing soundtracks to a string of much-loved anime movies, as well as tie-in "image albums" - musical scores inspired by a particular anime character, and designed to give an impression of their personality. Ponyo on the Cliff By The Sea is one such endeavour: a cheery, playful celebration of the lead character from 2008 flick Ponyo. Across the "image album", you'll find plenty of jaunty songs sung by both adults and children, sweeping orchestral pieces in the usual film score style, and jaunty pieces that draw a surprising amount of influence from non-Japanese popular music styles
