Review: An explosive line-up awaits you on the sophomore release on Spanish imprint Lifestyle. Their various artist EP ropes in the very best in underground tech house. From Berlin based purveyor of the deep Nick Beringer on the dubby and hypnotic "Habitat", the return of Bologna's Fabrizio Maurizi on the deep minimalism of "Dorothy's Dream" while on the flip two heroes of the Romanian scene pump up: Laurentiu Suciu aka Faster (hot off releases on Acme and Ruere) with the reduced groove dynamics of "HD" and the always impressive Melodie doing his idiosyncratic style of acid on "Double".

Review: Based in Barcelona, Skip Audio is a fresh vinyl-only label that, if this debut release is anything to go by, could deliver some seriously ear-catching tech-house tracks in the months and years ahead. That's a lofty claim for sure, but we'd argue that the four cuts showcased on this EP are worthy of such lavish praise. Check first the crunchy drums, snaking bass and watery electronic motifs of Giuliano Lomonte's 'Versatile', before admiring the slowly pulsing pads, rising and falling melodies and snappy beats of Viceversa's wonderfully tuneful and sunny 'Eyes Cat'. Fabrizio Maurzi offers something a little tougher, darker and chunkier in the shape of 'Peace of Mind', while Vincent Casanova doffs a cap to the sci-fi sounds of early UK tech-house on spacey closer 'Cypress Chill'.
