Notes: Really nice boutique analogue synth from JMT, based around a main oscillator with three sub signals, a frequency-synced resonant filter, noise source and three-speed random trigger.

DNVO-1 is a handmade, compact analog synthesizer from JMT Synth Its primary oscillator can be synced with three sub oscillators, each with a different range, as well as a noise source and wave generator. The latter source can be manipulated with the 3-speed random trigger for effective fluctuations within a single performance. The primary VCO is routed through a self-oscillating filter, which can sync with the VCO's frequency.

Notes: No-nonsense analogue business here from JMT. Square wave VCO and sub-oscillators can be morphed and wave folded to create unique timbres.

The JMT Synth EWG is a desktop analog synthesiser with a wide-ranging VCO and two reconfigurable sub-oscillators that emit square waves, ideal for thick bass tones. Two adjacent knobs can control the pulse of the square waves, allowing for a wide range of tones and timbres. Two reduce knobs govern the leve of each sub-oscillator, allowing the user to blend the tones to their taste. The EWG-1 is powered by a DC9V center negative adapter or a single 9V battery.

Notes: This model consists of two VCOs (oscillators), SAMPLE & HOLD, noise generator, low-pass filter, LFO, VCA, and envelope generator to create a powerful sound.

By itself, a wide range of sounds can be created, including random and regular intermittent sounds, mute timing, and fine-tuning of levels.

If you input sounds from other equipment through the A IN, you can apply a variety of filters, LFOs that oscillate the filters, and mutes to the input sounds in parallel with the built-in oscillator.

The variable range is wide enough to produce a variety of sounds. The filter is a 4-pole filter that works very smoothly, and external audio can be input via A IN.

The SNB-2b is a noisy analogue synth oscillator with a distortion function that can emphasize HI, MID, and LO.

Each of the three SUB oscillators is designed to affect each other, so a wide range of settings are possible with subtle knob position combinations.

The three oscillators are directly input to the waveform of the MAIN VCO, and different waveform changes can be added by adjusting the input level with the LEVEL knob.

Notes: The TVCO-2 is an analogue synth that is powered by a single DC9V~DC12V or 9V battery.

By touching the five sensors directly connected to the circuit of the analogue synth oscillator with your fingertips, the tone of the oscillator peculiar to thick analog synths changes in various ways.

Since it responds delicately, the tone changes depending on whether you touch it strongly or touch the sensor with or without touching it, and whether you touch two, three, or a combination.

The top two sensors are connected to the MAIN VCO and the SUB VCO for input to the VCF, so you can use this sensor to change the VCF (filter) with touch sense to create more complex tones.

The bottom three sensors are connected to the circuit of the MAIN VCO. This sensor can make a noisy change directly to the main sound output oscillator, and the way it changes changes with a combination of touches, such as touching it at the same time in combination with the touch of the SUB VCO.

With a simple structure of 2 VCOs and 1 VCF (band-pass and low-pass switchable), you can intuitively operate this equipment to create your own sounds.

The MAIN VCO and VCF have CV IN. By attaching a 3.5mm conversion jack, you can connect from sequencers, analog synths, and modular synths CV OUT for a wider variety of expressions.

Compared to cable patches and switches, subtle changes can be made instantly at the fingertips, so it is a model that can be controlled more sensitively.

Korg is now pleased to introduce the multi/poly module: all of the multi/poly's incredible features and sounds in a compact 19" desktop/rackmount package. With support for MIDI 2.0 property exchange and poly aftertouch, the module is an excellent companion to Korg's Keystage controller. It's also fully compatible with programs from the multi/poly native software, as well as an increasing number of excellent third-party libraries, keeping the updated sounds and software fresh. The new 19" rack-mountable enclosure has the same controls as the keyed model, yet is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.

Next-level analogue modelling

multi/poly features redesigned, incredibly detailed filters and oscillators, and advances in analogue modelling that take this technology to a new level. Each voice contains a Virtual Voice Card, where oscillators, filters, envelopes, LFOs, and portamento circuits are modelled to reflect analogue hardware component variations. As a result, each voice can have its own slightly di6erent character, creating rich and naturally evolving timbres

Just like in an analogue synthesiser, voice cards continue to play even if you're not hearing them. Envelopes evolve naturally, meaning if you play a long pad with an extended release time, newly played notes "catch" the envelope at its current state rather than restarting from zero Oscillators and LFOs maintain phase, while resonance continues to ring out. Pitch drift mimics the subtle instabilities of true analogue hardware.

The multi/poly also includes envelope curvature presets inspired by classic synths like the Mono/Poly, MS-20, ARP Odyssey, and Prophet 5. Additionally, analogue VCAs behave di6erently depending on voltage, with varying thresholds for turning on and o6, which has a strong impact on the Amp Envelope's character. multi/poly models VCA responses from the Mono/Poly, MS-20, Prophet 5, Mini, Odyssey, and more, alongside a linear option.

Double Knot v3

The Double Knot v3 is a small generative synthesizer with two voices and corresponding sequencers. This instrument has a simple architecture which is capable of a wide variety of sounds, including rhythms and drum patterns or textural and grating noise sounds. The interface is made up of knobs, switches, and banana plugs for patching. The two voices of this device each consist of a triangle/square wave oscillator, a shift register sequencer, an enveloper, and a voltage controlled amplifier. A clock sets the tempo of the shift registers.

The voices of the Double Knot are pre-wired, in a linear chain of functional blocks. The patch points are available to route modulations, influencing the simple linear voices. The game of this device is to investigate the relationships between the elements of the synth using the knobs, switches and patch-points.

How many banana cables do I need? and what length?

8 or 10 cables around 12" long is a great start.

Can I patch this with my other synth?

Only what is safe for this synth. The banana ports of this device can handle max +/- 8V at all inputs and outputs assuming at least a 1k output impedance in the other device. The response range of the voltage inputs is ~1.2v - 8V (range of a TL07x powered by 9V).

Is this synth good by itself, or does it rely on other devices to be useful?

Some good sounds can be had using this device and a handful of banana cables.

The IMPLEXUS has a powerful "one-knob-per-function" interface with graphical feedback, utilizing LED rings to indicate modulators. The drone mode, tap tempo and looping envelopes let you explore the IMPLEXUS as a standalone sound generator. The MIDI and Eurorack compatibility and clock synchronisation options make sure it can be played in every setting. The IMPLEXUS is built to last. It has metal shaft potentiometers, an aluminium casing with scratch and solvent resistant graphics and an internal power supply (no adapter!). "West-Coast"

The characteristic sound of the IMPLEXUS comes from shaping and folding a sinewave, resulting in a complex waveform. The shaping and folding can be modulated at audio-rate in a single knob turn utilizing the second generator. Instead of subtracting you will be adding harmonics. After tweaking for a while you will be surprised to find out you didn't touch the filter... yet.

Unique filter design

The IMPLEXUS offers a 12dB/oct VCF with a unique analogue topology. This filter offers a lowpass and highpass mode. For cutoff modulation there is an envelope amount control with polarizer and a CV input on the back of the IMPLEXUS. There is an input mixer that has amplitude control over three inputs: complex generator, basic generator and the sub-oscillator.

Syncable delay

The IMPLEXUS has a stereo digital delay with dry/wet, delay-time and feedback control. There is a subtle modulation difference between the left and right channels to create a wide stereo image.
The delay can be synchronized to MIDI and external (modular) clock sources. Also the delay can be synchronized to Tap Tempo. For clock synchronization there are five divisions: 1/1 3/4 1/2 1/3 1/4.

Global pitch controls

The IMPLEXUS has a global pitch control section offering control over glide rate and pitch envelope amount. There is a dedicated vibrato LFO with manual control over amount and frequency.

Syncable LFO's

The IMPLEXUS has two LFO's with a variety of waveforms and multiple modulation destinations. The LFO's offer a wide range of 0.01 - 100Hz and can be BPM synced to MIDI and external clock. The LFO's can also be synchronized to Tap Tempo and can even be set in five different divisions.

Connections

The IMPLEXUS offers a 1/4" stereo balanced output. In addition to that there is a stereo headphone output with dedicated volume control.
There is standard MIDI input and thru over DIN and USB. Also there is a eurorack compatible patchbay on the back. This extends the sound and modulation possibilities of the IMPLEXUS even more!

Built in VCO tuner

There is a strobe tuner with 3 LED's on board, which lets you tune both the Complex and the Basic generator to a perfect "A" within just a couple of seconds.

Notes: Varia Instruments' turntable weights feature a smart mechanism: The 7" adapter inside the weight is moveable, as soon as you put the weight on a 7", the adapter will fall down through the big hole of the vinyl. Your record is now centered and stabilized by the TTW10. If you place the kit on a 12" record, the adapter will remain in the rear position and stabilizes your warped records. A sticky rubber mat on the bottom side protects your vinyl and allows you to control the record in a very direct way. The difference to the classic TTW10 is the material used for the outer part: The heavy weight edition is machined out of high-grade stainless steel which results in a final weight of 808g/1.78lbs. The TTW10H comes in a neat printed box with a linen bag to take it out to your gigs.
