Review: Zakmina is Lukas Zeringis, previously spotted on Futureboogie and Minimood, with his classy take on the modern tech house phenomenon. 'For U' sees the up and coming artist link up with Bordello A Parigi and go all-in on the trance tip. Playing out like it's peak time at Amnesia, the A-side is full of sentimental bombast which will keep that summer spirit running well into the winter months. On the B-side, 'Take Me Back' dishes out more of the melodic charm with a sly shot of electro in the rhythm section for good measure.

Review: Already an early contender for the hottest tune of 2006, "Edge Of Space" is the stunning next single from Zirenz to follow up the massively received "Utopia". Complete with a Whiteroom remix that is currently taking dancefloors by storm. Zirenz was formed in late 2004 from the success of "Tears Of An Angel" and over the last 12 months they have worked and received support from some of the most established and new DJs in the world. Great support already from so many A-list DJs such as Armin van Buuren. A State Of Trance radio's "Tune of the week" & " Web voted feature favourite". Further support from: Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, Corderoy. Review: Iowa's Zuul hand modulates the proverbial Pressure Control with a five-track slab of tightly wound menace, shifting gears from his earlier appearances on Exarde and White Scar. As head of Laik, Ollie Burgess has previously shown a taste for precise, brooding rhythms; but here, he leans rawer, drawing on EBM, new beat and the wave-inflected electronics of the late 80s, invoking spirits of early Frankfurt and Ghent while keeping an eye firmly on the functional demands of contemporary sets. There's a nitty tension running through each cut, making them as suited to murky warm-ups as to teeth-gritting peak hours.
