Review: Brazil's KaioBarssalos first came to light in 2018 with releases on Ground Factory, Black Square and Reload, but it's with the Dash EP for Planet Rhythm he makes his first appearance on vinyl. It's a grand entrance too, as the emergent artist demonstrates his years of experience with the huge, pulsing techno wave of 'Dash' before piling into the steely thrust of 'Cubismo'. This is proper techno in the Planet Rhythm vein, and the B-side maintains the pressure with the edgy rhythmic interlock of 'Anxiety' and 'Closer Gap'. If you need some razor-sharp techno tools in the bag, look no further.

Review: If there is one planet we would like to spend some time on, it's Planet Rhythm. For techno lovers, it is one of the finest out there thanks to its consistently high quality, fad-free output. Kaiobarssalos is next to add to the cannon with this uptempo and stripped-back EP. 'Fatia' is all twisted and unsettling synth motifs, 'Lupulo' gets glitchy and 'Not About' is packed with unresolved loops that keep you on edge, and last of all some of the pent-up pressure is released through the more smooth but still banging deep techno trip that is closer '80's Moove'.

Review: Welcome back to Planet Rhythm, a place where the futuristic music never stops and where techno takes on many different forms. This time out a varied crew of artists take charge starting with KaioBarssalos who offers the powerful, shimmering hi-tek soul of 'Detroit.' There is just as much forward motion but a little more depth to Netty Hugo's 'Ecxtrem' while the most meditative and stripped-back sounds come from The Advent & A.Paul. Their 'Confined' is a mega trip on linear grooves and you're awakened from that reverie with I Am Bam who closes down with the more abrasive 'Convert'.

Review: Having blazed a trail through labels like Suara, Modularz and Liberta in the past couple of years, Klint lands on Planet Rhythm for their first physical release to date, and they've brought the goods to match the occasion. 'Titane' is a consummate slice of banging, loopy techno with some Robert Hood-influenced synth lines keeping the mood tense and driving. 'Sauvage' leans in on atmosphere building with cavernous sound design wielded with precision. Review: Don your space suit and hop onboard another trip to Planet Rhythm. This one is at the hands of techno troubadour Klint who is a master of achieving a lot with a little. HIs perfectly designed flops could roll for days if you ask us. And that's whether they are edgy and restless as on the unsettling 'Your Fault' or the more intensely layered 'Organic Rewind' which sounds like an automated factory at peak production levels. The tunnelling techno of 'Carbone' is a real mind maze and 'Dust' is from the Mills school of minimalism.

Review: When it comes to keeping a cavernous warehouse rocking in all the right ways, you don't want to take any chances. Planet Rhythm releases are always a safe bet in that regard, but that's especially the case on this Risk Management 12". Amongst the dependable contenders bringing the high-pressure goods are Klint, who throws down some darting pulses and steely kicks on the tough but funky 'Falcon' and Rove Ranger who twists up nerve-shredding rhythmic interplay with a committed trajectory deep down the wormhole. Review: Planet Rhythm's brand of techno is utterly timeless and always futuristic. The latest trip around the stars is a various artists EP that varies in mood and tempo. Shekon's 'Hypno' (Phara remix) kicks off with big, boisterous drum loops full of bounce and swirled with coarse synths. Gotshell takes a more deep approach with gurgling basslines making for a subterranean sound on 'Sindrome De Volar.' KaioBarssalos's 'Detroit' then taps into a classic 313 techno style with shimmering pads and earth-shattering drums. Netty Hugo's 'Ecxtrem' is a pulsating cosmic closer.
