Boneless One and the Computer Controlled imprint from Belfast seem to have found each other at exactly the right point in time, and nothing is sweeter than when the timing on a release is spot on. The former has been delivering grievous levels of house and techno over the last few seasons, while the latter has been picking up a noticeable momentum thanks to releases from peeps like Holland's DJ Overdose, Mark Forshaw, and the always excellent TX Connect. This particular bag of killers starts off with the malevolent tones of "Acid Chops", a 303-fuelled beatdown rounded off by a noxious level of distortion, but it's "Communication Crackdown Phase 2" that turned our heads this morning thanks to its instantly seductive digi melodies and swinging blockade of drums. "Hartz Einz (Guirocid)" resides on flip, and it's a fiery, unforgiving bundle of mutant acid swings mashed backed by a classic set of deadly 4/4 beats; that ride into hell is followed by an equally uncompromising artillery of Bunker-style acid via "Sonan". Mean and certainly not lean...
