Simultaneously answering the never-asked question - what does Russian dub sound like? - while also refusing to adhere to pigeon holes and reductive categories, let's just say what's here is immersive, low-end heavy, incredibly-hook-y, and hallucinatory. It's also experimental and has avant-garde at its heart, setting out an individual stall that stays true to the genre while ignoring convention. It's also very important to point out the process involved. Although definitely not a concept album in that "boring but the idea is interesting and the way it was made is unique" kind of way, nevertheless all the tracks here were created during improvised live sessions. Despite what it sounds like, then, there are no samples, no edits, just actual instruments making noises. And it's great.
