Review: Reissued on MOV, To the Highest Bidder (1971) is the second studio album by the Dutch progressive rock band Supersister. The band, formed in 1969, marked a significant step forward for the prog, jazz-rock and AOR genres, with their debut album Present from Nancy (1970) hinting at what would would inevitably become an ever-evolving style, especially in which early reflections of math rock slunk amok. Although To the Highest Bidder did not achieve major commercial success outside of the Netherlands, it has since been recognized as a classic of progressive rock, with Supersister having since gained a cult following. New fans are wont to swoon over the immensely speedy rhythm sections of Marco Vrolijk.
