Review: Bari, Puglia based SUBOSC is helmed by producer Kaelan and presents four excursions through the more hypnotic and cerebral strains of techno. Berlin's Artefakt starts off on the A side with with the trance inducing reductionism of "Curvature Of Mind", while Italian Alan Backdrop returns after what seems like a long absence from the scene, but he's back in form on the exquisite sound design of "Quaraman". On the flip there's Kiwi Ben Gibson with the Millsian touch of "Floating Shadows" which will certainly draw you down into the abyss, while local duo Tripsolate & Redundaent offer up something a bit more different on the electro/dub techno crossover of "Akay" and as unusual as this hybrid must sound, it really works and is truly a highlight.
