AG - "Can't Cure Curiousity" (6:17)
Alex Jangle & MatztaM - "Glowbones" (7:04)
Faer - "Serious Repitions" (7:43)
Deadbeat & The Mole - "All Creepy No Sleepy" (5:45)
Review: It is no mean feat to last 10 years no matter your business, but to do so as a record label in this day and age is worthy of maximum respect. Fair play to Det Gode Selskab then for marking the occasion with a tidy new 12" that showcases just what the label is all about. There is chunky tech with grinding bass but lush old school melodies on 'Can't Cure Curiosity' while Alex Jangle & Matztam's 'Glowbones' cuts totally loose on dreamy synth daubs, painterly lines and rubbery house loops. Faer takes a more dark, heads-down path for his spooky 'Serious Repetions' and as you would expect of Deadbeat & The Mole they bring off-kilter loops, unbalanced drums and a ramshackle rhythm that will have you shaking your bones.

Things Fall Apart (7:58)
Adieu Chez Cherie (6:53)
Review: Depending on your cultural references you will know that Things Fall Apart is either the title of an album by hip-hop greats The Roots, the debut 1958 novel by Nigerian author Chinua Achebe or Jon Ronson's latest Radio 4 series on the culture wars. Here it is a deeply mystic techno 10" by Deadbeat. Back in July, he worked with Sa Pa on their first collaborative album on the anniversary of BLKRTZ's 50th release and what a stunner it was. Here he casts free and deep into an oceanic abyss with drum-less floating currents and drifting melodies on 'Things Fall Apart' then a more hunched and dynamic dub groove on 'Adieu Chez Cherie.'

Lights For Lele
Review: Somewhat impressively, Walls & Dimensions is Scott "Deadbeat" Monteith's 14th album in as many years. By now, we've come accustomed to his blueprint - think soulful, dub-influenced techno and electronica - but he's still capable of surprising now and then. Here, amongst the hypnotic techno rhythms, atmospheric strings, classic dub riffs and undulating electronics, you'll find subtle nods to soul, broken beat, nu-jazz, and the kind of organic, spiritual deep house pushed forward by Osunlade and Atjazz. It makes for hugely enjoyable listening, all told, and proves that there's still life in the old dog yet.

Second Quarter
Third Quarter (The Vampire Of Mumbai)
Fourth Quarter (Cala's House)
Review: Deepchord and Modern Love may have got most of the plaudits for the dub techno revival, but Deadbeat's contribution should not be forgotten either. On Drawn & Quartered, the Canadian producer moves effortlessly between ambience and bassy techno, but his overall approach remains constant. "First Quarter" is a dreamy affair, but sounds and ideas flow in and out of the arrangement at will, as if Deadbeat keeps changing his mind and going off on tangents. On "Second Quarter" this hyperactivity is borne out by the shift from a dubby, drum-heavy groove into a deep chord reverie, while "Third Quarter" does the opposite, starting off with soft-focus melodies before moving into a system-levelling bass techno track.

Run Things So
Steps To Oblivion
Review: Deadbeat teams with Paul St. Hilaire - better known as Tikiman, the unmistakable voice behind numerous Burial Mix and Main Street classics - for a new, reinterred pair of wire-stripped, dub-influenced dance cuts. Deeper into earthy texture and minimal rhythm, both tracks creolise Berlin's dub-techno heritage and Caribbean vocal traditions, 'Run Things So' especially with its crackling chords and indolent wordplays.

Deadbeat - "The Serpent & The Jaguar" (4:26)
Triptease & Yonatan Levi - "Amniotic Jive" (11:33)
Tuccillo - "Outer Space" (7:27)
Wareika - "When Will We Meet Again?" (8:15)
Review: Ten years deep, Visionquest continues to be a potent force in field of minimal tech house thanks to releases like these. The latest split release from their VQ X series opens up with the spellbinding, micro dub meditation 'The Serpent & The Jaguar' from Deadbeat before swerving into the equally tender folds of Triptease & Yonatan Levi's 'Amniotic Jive'. Tuccillo opens up the B-side with some crisp, immersive broken beat rhythmic incantations, and then Wareika round the record off with a smouldering piece of hi-tech jazz from the outer rim. This is subtle, elegant minimal at its warmest, make no mistake.
