Review: The story of Canadian model and occasional singer-songwriter Randall A Wulff - AKA Lewis - is a fascinating one. In truth, few know much about him; he could have been a conman, an international jet-setter, or just a chancer. Either way, his 1984 L'Amour album - a strange mixture of fragile, impassioned songs with a folk meets new age bent - was considered a lost, private-press gem until Lght in the Attic reissued it earlier this year. Following the release, another album from the mysterious artist came to light, with the only known copy changing hands for nearly $2,000 online. Here, that album - entitled Romantic Times, and arguably even more impassioned than L'Amour - gets a reissue. With both Wulff and the soft-focus backing tracks sounding particularly haunting, it's an atmospheric and beguiling listen.
