Review: This is featured on "Bonkers 15" and has had raves jumping and pumping the world over. Caned to bits by Brisk, Marc Smith and Bunter, "Go Insane" is the first Switched On collaboration between scene legend Kevin Energy and label boss AMS. A massive rave friendly cut, "Go Insane" manages to cram in bouncy bass grooves, twisted synths, uplifting riffage, manic stomping squelch-out sections and a killer drop that takes ravers totally by surprise. On the flip, TNC's Stormtrooper takes on Next Generation artist Nemesis for a studio battle that results in the heavyweight "Powercore". Massive, fun, uplifting and with more than a touch of the classic Evolution sound, plus a thumping head-twisting gabba section.

Review: Launched mid-2005, Hardcore Projektz has gone from strength to strength and is now recognised as one of the biggest and most successful labels catering to the darker side of hardcore breaks. Enzyme, one of the scene's leading producers, tears up the A1 with "Screwface" - a brilliantly hard and dark production which perfectly captures the essence of what this hardcore label is all about! Using the vocal from the 80's classic "Warriors" and featuring a wonderfully rich and warm bassline, "Our Turf" has been produced by leading hardcore breaks producers Vinyl Junkie and Darkus.

Review: Because Raver Baby tracks are so in demand, the label decided to take things to the next level and release a series of double and triple packs. Most double & triple packs usually contain one big track and the rest fillers, but these packs only contain the biggest and most sort after hardcore anthems in the world. Each pack also has its own unique artwork. Disc one contains the two monster anthems from N-Trance, both with well sort after Hixxy mixes. Disc two includes the massive Dougal & Gammer remix to bring you their unique Essential Platinum sound. The flip has one of the catchiest vocal anthems of this year. Disc three takes you on a trip to scouse land. "Devastated Motivated" gives you the harder sound of Hixxy & Recon, whilst "I Can Wait" brings you the bouncy style of Squad E with awesome vocals and uplifting riffs. This release is limited to 3000 copies worldwide!

Review: Certified 'badmen of 2022', Atlanta's Nikki Nair links and London's DJ ADHD link up once again for four furious breakbeat jams. As you'd expect, it's naughtiness from the off as they pair guide us through a whole maze of bass and series of shells. Highlights include the rampant garage thrust and flex of 'Whaa', the wonky grit and rumbles of the EP's title track 'Golden Monkey' and the bashy dystopian radar ripples and eastern string stabs of 'No Pulse'. You'd have to have no pulse to not be feeling this. Go for gold.

Review: New to Cargo, taking a trip back in time, 'Athema', this double-a-side release from mid-2007 is the first
in the long series of limited re-issues of some of the biggest old-school tracks in the Reinforced catalogue.

Review: Sweet sensation! 3rd Party reissue this formative 92 quartet of jungle / hardcore crossover anthems from one of the most important pioneering acts of the movement - Noise Factory. Each one of these cuts still hit hard almost 30 years later: 'The Fire' is all about those Quadrophenia-style stabs and that classic vocal, 'Skin Teeth' is pure dub pressure and rattling breaks, 'Set Me Free' pays homage to both whistle and horn crews while 'Breakage #2' is pure blueprint jungle. Party time.

Review: Oi oi, gun fingers and glow sticks at the ready for this one, which is a jungle, d&b and hardcore fusion that throws it back to the good old days. 'Feel The Magic' has it all and then some with blistering amen breaks and killer vocal stabs, 'Wheel Up' keeps on the pressure with more irresistibly funky breaks, spin backs and prying synth tone and 'Come Inside' hypnotises with a mystic flute lead before the devastating drums drop once more. 'Breakage #6' shuts down with another lively rhythm that will turn any 'floor into a rave den.

Review: UK hardcore masters Kniteforce keep the rave alive with another excellent throwback EP, this time from Nookie. It has all the authentic hallmarks of a proper old school offering but with great modern production. 'Give A Little Love' is a pain banger with bristling breakbeats and no shortage of energy, then 'Love Is The Message' douses you in fizzy chords and dusty drum breaks that dart up and down and are run through with yelping vocal stabs. 'Pedro Visits Romford' shuts down with bright chords refracting about the mix next to more chopped-up vocals.

Review: Nookie's The Rest Is History Part One is a highly sought-after boxset that is now getting pressed up to several different 12"s, starting with this one on nice blue wax. Nookie is a storied artist who has long been a key part of the rave scene from the very early days of hardcore right up to more modern drum & bass worlds. Across these four cuts and one Cloud 9 Remix, we're treated to a selection of his best early work from a time before genres were so clearly delineated, which means you get a real melange of everything from breaks to rave, hardcore to techno, acid and plenty in between, all with a healthy dose of the old skool sound.

Review: Nukleuz are on a role with the release of their massive "Hardcore Nation" album series with Warner Music. The "Hardcore EP" series is now renowned for releasing the biggest records in one great value package - offering 4 full club tracks on 1 vinyl. A strong hardcore fanbase has been developed through the series - as seen from 12" sales of previous Hardcore EPs. Stu Allan mixed CDs on both "Hardcore Nation 1 & 2" - which have now sold in excess of 50,000 CDs each. Stu also hosted the legendary Key 103 radio show which was the only dedicated hardcore show on FM radio, and also more recently on his hugely popular Pure Dance Radio show broadcast on Sky Digital and over Internet. Stu Allan's massive "A Feeling" record has just been signed to one of the world's biggest major record labels. Visa takes on the mighty James Bond 007 theme - and as expected of the original hardcore masters - adds the unique 'main-room' style twist. Frantic Resident and HTID favourite Andy Whitby teams up with Gammer (aka Matt Lee) to drop their own heavy hitting version of Rozalla's "Everybody's Free" with Stu Allan providing the remix. The Nukleuz Kollective team up with production power house Sparky to create an instant-hands-in-the-air anthem remix of DHT's "Listen To Your Heart". King Ace drops their call-to-arms track, asking everyone on the dancefloor to "Put Your Hands Up For Hardcore".

Review: Music for anyone living on Cloud 9. The eminent Nookie goes right back to the very beginning of his career to explore his roots with Daddy's Armshouse, an imprint and movement created around his tenure at Red Records in the late 80s/early 90s and his good friend The Pedge. Pre 'Sound Of Music', these are the primordial ingredients that paved that way for so many different classics (including Nookie's engineering work for Ray Keith) Highlights include the dramatic stabs and spacious drums of 'Return Of The Donut', the sci-fi funk and tightly coiled hardcore energy of 'Here Comes Bod' and the dub honey of 'Granny'. A real history lesson and some previously unheard seminal slabs right here.

Review: Kniteforce is having a busy run of late. The hardcore loving label has put out a couple of seminal Jonny L tunes and now comes NRG's The Music Maker across a limited edition set of five slabs of wax. It is a high energy, high impact selection or originals and new versions. Some tracks you'll recognise instantly and some not so much but rest assured this is the biggest and best ever collection of NRG tracks to have ever been assembled. They are all breakbeat assaults with sci-fi melodies and plenty of rave motifs bring each one to life, with turbo charged bass and machine gun synths ever present. Strap in!
