Review: Since launching back in 2012, Moonboots' Aficionado imprint - named in honour of his regular Manchester party - has released some of the greatest Balearica of modern times. Nev Cottee's 2013 debut for the label, the sublime "Oslo", was particularly special. It's great to see him return to the fold, two years on, with the similarly superb "If I Could Tell You" - a weary but heartfelt and picturesque chunk of hazy West Coast folk-rock goodness smothered in evocative strings and psychedelic guitar solos. The intense beauty and tactile shuffle of Cottee's musical backing shines through on the accompanying instrumental, which is almost as good as his hazy vocal mix.
