You'll have to go a long, long way to find a more respected and influential synth band than Tangerine Dream. Inspiring countless others, not least in the world of movie and TV soundtracking with their combination of synth rock, kraut, electro, space-age classical and more, while they no longer have founder Edgar Froese at the helm - he died in 2015 and was the only figure to have been involved since the outfit's inception - as Raum proves, the remaining players are every bit capable of continuing the legacy.

The album follows on from the Probe 6-8 EP, and was composed with full access to Froese's Cubase arrangements, alongside his hoard of Otari Tape recordings made between 1977 and 2013. And the authenticity is tangible. Spiralling arpeggios, dream-like sequences born in centuries that aren't here yet, glittering, swooping sections of pure emotion, and crisp, tight, razor-accurate percussion.
