Mental Modern is a favourite of those who like their techno experimental and heady. Mod21 is a perfect foil for that and goes deep here across a trio of mind-melting cuts. 'Childlike Wonder' pens with deep and dubby drums and a subterranean sense of dusty ambience. It's the singular Rrose who remixes and layers in synth modulations and a dark, rising bassline that promises plenty of drama without ever fully breaking out. 'Will You Ever Stop' is a standout on the flip with its loopy deep techno and pulsing synths acting like a searching light in the darkness of the dance floor.
